Wash it out. Some have mats that come out this one you put at an angle and wash water down

If it’s just sand, bad sign. Look for cracks packed with rocks and river gravels stuck to the point where you need to use a pry bar to get them loose. That’s where you’ll find the larger gold. Only thing you’ll find in sand like that is flood gold, which is small and light.
@MishaBoylanКүн бұрын
Very helpful tysm! I definitely will get myself a larger prybar
@dartmart9263Күн бұрын
You only scratched the surface. You need to go all the way to the bottom of that crevice
@MishaBoylanКүн бұрын
I did mostly smaller pieces like that. This spot seemed to not have much big gold, which is weird bc some of the biggest gold I found was down river
@gold-diggersanonymous1085Күн бұрын
@@MishaBoylan 100% logical! well above the river, it may only flood every couple of years or so during BIG floods. that is when this finer flood gold (smaller than say 2mm) is deposited about 2-3 feet below the "high tide mark". any bigger gold will follow the riverbed mostly at the deepest point, and therefore you will find your bigger pieces down in the river. (in a drop zone like a crevice or behind the big boulders at the deepest point in the river. (think about all these guys that go sniping, they are not after "flypoops"😄 good luck!!
