Team @MineOperator would like to thank the crew ‪@mojaveminingcompany‬ for inviting us out. Come along on this adventure as we learn how ‪@mojaveminingcompany‬ is exploring for gold, silver, and barite that is disseminated throughout limestone and dolomite. Is this a Carlin-trend type deposit? They maybe onto a major find.
In this video we discuss the aerial survey magnetic resonance, learning how to core drill, and we explore some old prospects, adits, crosscuts and an aerial tram that were made in the early 1900's. Prospecting and some production at this property dates back to the 1830's.
Thank you for watching and supporting our channel!

16:00 That vuggy quartz sponge you shared is just like the stuff all over [and under] the surface of my land. I am very much hoping that some day I can secure some silver and lead on my land, but thus far I have only been getting rarified iron oxides [dispersed hematite and a few specks of magnetite] at the surface. Down in my 500 foot deep well there is magnetite galore, a few specks of chalcopyrite and some shiny stuff that may have been specks of native silver [but were too tiny to isolate and analyze], so I do know there is a vein some place down there, just not sure what is in it or how rich it is.

21:00 Dolomite is more valuable than limestone because it can contain up to 40% magnesium. In my local region there is a really rick dolomite body which I hope to make use of some day for mining magnesium.

47:20 Interesting you should mention washing the walls. Every single dusty old mine I see, I think of washing the walls to see behind the dust, but how could you afford so much water, right? I would have to resort to pressurized air and maybe a vacuum cover. Also, if one collects that rather dangerous dust [silicosis and other respiratory problems] they could look into that collected dust material for sources of minerals too. But by all means, cleaning the walls of that accumulated dust would reveal SO MUCH!

@@mineoperator Mining/exploration technology is making advancements on a level that make previous technology look like busting rocks on the surface of a hill. Check into lidar mapping of old mines for ore body maps for another. Show's a 3-d map of ore body runs. The industry is changing. There's more...coming soon.

Oh I agree! We plan on going back, taking the XRF, taking channel samples for chemical assay, and hiking up to the top of the tram line to find the high-grade silver ore. Hopefully, the roads to the mine are still intact after hurricane Hilary.

The introduction is a bit ambiguous at very best, sorry. I guess they use the GeoResonance company? I'm not sure what the deal is with this company but they do NOT use magnetic resonance like their name and intro text implies. They use 'plain old' (but proven) multispectral analysis. Magnetic Resonance, as is used in NMR machines in the hospital is very good for studying hydrogen rich organic materials (such as our body). It is occasionally used for studying small samples, mainly in oil&gas , and on a large scale for ground water. There is the cutting edge ore sorter of CSIRO. Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with hyper spectral remote sensing though!

Thanks for watching our video @Ohtaror and commenting. I haven't used their services like Mojave Mining Company has. I don't know why it's not described as multispectral analysis. I'll look into it.

Thanks for the honest reply. It is always good to be a bit critical about your service companies / consultants. Good luck with your projects! Be aware you need a recognised professional geologist to write (or at least sign off) your 43-101.
@mineoperator
@mineoperator Жыл бұрын
@Ohtaror yes sir. I recently found out about this. I was talking with a geologist from Tamarack about that. Writing as much as you can to keep costs down and hiring a QP to edit and sign off on it. We have our own uranium and rare earth element project that needs a NI 43-101 done. 2 drill programs were done in 1968 and 1970's. So much data and historic technical reports previously written.

34:54 ouch. XRF doesn’t give accurate readings for gold and silver. Better to look at tellurium, arsenic, and mercury. These pathway elements give a better indicator of a deposit.
@mineoperator
@mineoperator 7 ай бұрын
We agree. Even if we prep the sample right, I wouldn't put much faith in the xrf assay. Even getting a fire or chemical assay of a channel sample still paints a small picture. I like your recommendation for indicator metals/minerals. I need to touch base with Paul and see how his project is going.

@@mineoperator Skyline labs out of Tucson can test for any element you want. I would test for Au, Ag, As, Te, and Hg. It all depends upon what kind of budget you have. I would also do duplicates,, blanks, and standard around the max of twenty samples in order to stay in compliance with the NI-43101. So, make certain all samples and standards do have a documented chain of custody. You may already know all this but I figure the readers of the comments might not know.

Extreeeeemely skeptical of the GeoResonance magnetic resonance claims. There's a lot of money in the mining world and a lot of uncertainty about where when and how to mine. A lot of money plus a lot of unpredictability equals a LOT of snake oil, and I smell a lot of snake oil surrounding this company's claims. I'm far from anything resembling an expert, but I am somewhat familiar with nuclear magnetic resonance and how it works, and there is simply no possible way this company's claims about doing remote sensing NMR could possibly work. It's physically impossible. Most NMR uses multi-tesla magnetic fields to get good signals from samples mere inches away from a detector at most, and though zero-field resonance techniques are possible, the extraordinary lengths one needs to go to eliminate noise even when dealing with pure samples inside a Faraday cage are, to say the least, impressive. See Ben Krasnow's video on nuclear quadrupole resonance he did a year or so ago. Mining doesn't only involve extraction of valuable ores from the earth, but also money from the bank accounts of the hapless and honest miners in the business of doing so!

Thank you for your comment. The world of geophysical surveys is new to me. When referencing that information on MR, I didn't want it to feel like I was endorsing the company who performed the work for MMC as I have not used their services and can't validate their claim. I chose to leave out the company offering those services. To be noted, the survey told Paul Barnes where and how deep he would find water. According to Paul, he was right on the money. I couldn't agree more with your statement that we must all be careful of snake oil out there.

💛 Seeing this amazing mine of @MojaveMiningCompany , your own great mine, the seemingly endless Union Mine of Brent @GhostTownLiving at Cerro Gordo, and the great new gold mine of Jason @mbmmllc, I'm constantly amazed at how much skill, effort and hard labor the original miners put into creating these vast labyrinths of tunnels and levels, and securing them with timber that has survived a century 💛 And other than the bat we saw here, and the pack rat in one of @Danhurd 's gold mines, I'm surprised that not more animals seek shelter in these "comfortable" caves. Yet another great channel worth following 🌟
