My friends and I watched that match live and we all knew they were leaving the next day and we all felt they didn’t even want to be there. Made apparent how they just stood there in the ring for what felt like 10 minutes before the first grapple. Stone Cold even once said he almost started running the ropes to get laughs while they stood their figuring things out.

He had a handful of the rolling knee locks that didn’t go as smooth as hoped and maybe a couple of timing mishaps like all pros have had, but he also had a bunch of power moves that he never gets credit for like the military press power slam or the military press spine buster, or that pump handle throw them across the ring move, or the palm to the sternum into a slam thing, or when he adopted Reno’s move and started doing the rolling the dice move on people but way more vicious. He was agile, fast, and explosively powerful. I miss Bobby the Brain Heenan hyping up “the man” Goldberg!

Its this entire comment section right here that is the beating heart of the ENTIRETY OF WWE...even before the internet or social media, It was a conversation away from the ring. Your favorite champion. Your favorite underdog or the way it felt to watch your guy lose to 3 count. It was your favorite tag team. It was the side you chose, the group you cheered, the one you picked to win. The one you couldn't wait to watch lose. And maybe the best/worst part was when you watched the ultimate betrayal that either sent you 10 feet off the couch with shock and joy, or speechless shit would ruin your weekend! My personal favorite is the grudges we hold as fans harder than anyone for years decades even. Some people remarried their EXwives FFS!!..but I guarantee you, would not EVER forgive that wrestler for what they did that day, id put a hefty $ amount of money that I'm right. Without that heart, without us, theyd never make it without us❤
