@@97YNWA97 The numbers don’t show that. Saliba and Gabriel have clearly been better than VVD and Konate. Arsenal commits players forward too but our defence has no problem. Not to mention both are consistent against every opponent. VVD and Konate had some serious mistakes vs Arsenal. They are a great pairing but not better than Saliba and Gabriel.

@@NorthLondonForeverCOYG if you want to go off numbers, compare Konate v Saliba and VVD v Gabriel defensive stats, VVD and Konate absolutely annihilate them. Especially VVD. VVD is the best CB in the world and Konate starts for France over Saliba. I admint Gabriel and Saliba are very impressive but they also have a better midfield in front of them especially Rice who might be the best midfielder in the league

Liverpool’s defensive numbers are inflated by their keeping performances, both Allison and Kelleher have been stats monsters this season making liverpools goals conceded lower than it really should be by how they defend. Having said that I’ve watched arsenal (arsenal fan) play Liverpool this season 3 times and konate and vvd were monstrous in those games, especially konate. Just think as a partnership saliba and Gabriel are so well balanced and measured

Understandably Man U fans like Mr G and you, will see no flair in Citeh or Arsenal because your perception of flair harps back to halcyon days of Sir Alex's reign and his winning sides. Until of course, you find a manager to replicate that you will always see "no flair" (resentment) in other winning sides. I agree with Mark, Haaland would not suit Liverpool's style of play, his work rate just isn't there. I also think the longer Haaland is at city the more he will be found out and the goals will become less. Whereas Salah for 7 seasons has consistently scored and provided goals... thats because of the work rate and tenacious style of play where he gets involved... theres more to his game. Arsenal sussed Haaland Out, Liverpool sussed him out... he looked bang average in both games... others will suss him out. He will leave city after next season.

Mac allister is the most underrated player this season. He started slow because of starting out position as a 6 but since the Bournemouth game he has been absolutely unreal. Baring in mind too 35m what a bargain him or Endo are bargain/signing of the season.

I think if Klopp had access to Haaland, he would find a way to make it work--that's the manager's job. Haaland is the kind of player that you just can't ignore--you adapt. With that said, Mark is correct that Haaland doesn't fit Liverpool's system, as it currently sits, but with a little tweaking...

no apology necessary. Sometimes you have to take a point and play differently for that point. Play to win, if possible, but not to the extent you end up losing. We had a few (though not many) chances. With the crazy decisions gone Man City's way recently we were lucky not to get robbed like Pool were.
