As a gooner as funny as it is Goldbridge has got to realise there’s no smoke without fire if several journalists are reporting it then it could be likely. Southgate fits the bill Ashworth went for Eddie Howe for Newcastle so Southgate is the English upgrade on that.

@@rajimus If there’s an adult nearby, ask them to explain the difference between competent management and the “let’s throw money at the problem” variety. MU are a big money club, like Liverpool and MC. But like Chelsea they have not been able to use their riches effectively, hence their current league position. Yes, they used to have success in line with their ambitions previously, but not in recent seasons and not currently. Financially poorer clubs work with far less to achieve similar results - I won’t list them, just look at the league table.
