In the last 5 years, PL teams have won the CL 3 times. They were all different teams as well, unlike the usual Real, Bayern or Barca. It’s not that the other leagues are better, their clubs are more respectful and are willing to defend deep and play counter attacking football against PL clubs. I get that United are a shit team but that doesn’t mean that the PL is boring.

Goldbridge is wrong. I watched some of the other league games. One thing that makes the premier league great is the overall quality of the teams. A game between Luton and Burnley can be gripping. It's not about the top 3 or 4 teams. It's the overall quality of the games. Also the presentation and even the commentaries are very good in my opinion.

I mean if you look at the wage bills in comparison to the premier league table standings, you'll see (with a couple of notable exceptions) that they are pretty much the same. Similarly, while week to week its hard to predict individual results, the general pattern of the league will be very predictable, namely that the big six (bar chelsea the last couple of seasons) all finish in the top 6 pretty much every season at a minimum.

I mean if you wanna talk about the most competitive league in terms of how many teams have won a league title since the formation of the premier league as a reference point, its france with 10 different teams, England have 7, Germany have 6, Italy have 6 and Spain have 5. Now in some of those leagues like france and england and spain, much more dominant teams have emerged but long term france is the best and in the short term like 5 years its italy.

Maybe the reason why other leagues knock prem teams out so much is because the other league’s title races all get done early and so the games have less pressure, meanwhile the prem’s title race always goes close most of the times so prem teams have high pressure games and have to deal with rotation and fatigued games in between the knockouts 🤔 no one ever thinks of this

The thing is tho out of the 5 titles they have won under pep only 2 of them were dominant 17-18 and 20-21. All other season were win by one point or a team being 8 points ahead only to bottle it and city to win it. Even this season city are only 2 points ahead, a farmers league would be city winning by 15+ points each season for 10 years in a row with maybe 1 or 2 close title races but in reality city aren’t that much better than others in the league it’s just the mentality that causes them to win

It’s not just about money, Man City are just that good. Arsenal should’ve won last season they were way ahead of city for majority of the season but bottled it. Liverpool in 2 seasons lost by 1 point but had too many draws so easily could’ve been 3 out of the seven prems city have won gone to Liverpool and Arsenal

The Premiere League is not boring at all. I am Mexican and have watch every major European League and of course the Mexican League. I 100% would rather watch a Premiere League game than a game from any other League. That doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy football from other places. I sure enjoy watching Bundesliga every now and then, Serie A more casually and La Liga even more casually, but if there is a League that I feel real passion for is 100% the Premiere League, even with its flaws.

Certainly it's a very predictable league at the moment and the manner of City's dominance is very much like with man utd, back in the day. They get 10 pts a season from officials that no other team would get, they have other teams doing them favours by going easy against them and hard against their rivals. I find it boring, even though we've technically had a title race this season. Predictable. As for the rest of it, there's been no real race for the top 4 this season and relegation places have been pretty much done and dusted for the last couple of months. Sides coming up are weaker than they used to be. It's a boring and predictable league, dominated by one team. Let's just hope City get smashed with these financial charges and properly punished. Most importantly though, the matches are usually the best to watch in the entire world. If you watch a La Liga game compared to a Premier League game, your eyes are gonna be bleeding.
