@tsquirrel8675 That is not what the Bible teaches. "No one has ever gone to heaven." - Jesus (John 3:13) "The hour is coming when everyone in the grave will hear his voice and come out (to resurrection of the flesh)." - (John 5:28 -29) In the promised new heavens and new earth (Isaiah 65:17, 2nd Peter 3:13), God, Himself, will come down from heaven and live with us on earth. - (Revelation 21:1 - 5) "Going to heaven" or "burning forever in hell" are pagan beliefs that Christian churches adopted. The original meaning of the word "hell" means grave or pit: "hades" and "she'ol". But there is a punishment by fire in which people will be burned up, not tortured: the lake of fire - (Revelation 20:15, Malachi 4:1)

Actually Estelle Getty suffered from terrible stage fright and anxiety when on stage. Despite her immense talent she had a terrible time going on stage.
@jujuoliver69594 жыл бұрын
Luna Rose she did but this was around the time her dementia started to kick in and you can see that look in her face. She started with it towards the latter stages of the Golden Girls as Betty and Rue have talked about it, and I have seen a few interviews where she was far more animated and chatty than this. A close relative has Parkinson’s related dementia and although for the most part she manages she gets a certain look when she is in a social setting and she clams up and talks uncertainly and I can see that there in Estelle. Sad but then none of us know what’s round the corner. Brilliant actress.

For that last question, I'll admit, it's interesting, but she should have complimented all three ladies, not just Betty. Poor Estelle. You could tell she was suffering medically. I heard even during taping of GG, she had such a hard time remembering lines that she had to rely on cue cards, and even had to have them taped to different props, but she was incredible! All of the cast mates were very supportive of Estelle whenever she froze during tapings. I don't think Estelle was shy at all, just suffering medically. Anyways, they were all so awesome!
@January. Жыл бұрын
*castmate She's quiet in every group interview I've seen. The other castmates were always much more willing to talk about themselves and she gladly let them.

You could see Estelle's discomfort and anxiety there. She was nervous. Betty said she would freeze up before going on set sometimes. She was an accomplished stage actress but she felt she wasn't as good as the other 3.
@garywoodsii87997 жыл бұрын
well I'm sure considering this was Estelle's big break in television. I would be intimidated working with the other three accomplished actresses as well but Estelle def set her own place in television. :)

Estelle's anxiety was completely understandable and certainly now groundless but she most definitely held her own and even went a bit beyond the others at times. her delivery was priceless!
@Norvo827 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, while it may also have been nerves, by this time Estelle began suffering from the early signs of Lewy-Body's disease, a kind of dementia with Parkinson related symptoms. Her speech and movement slowed down considerably, her posture was stilted and slumped. This was in late 1992, by the time she became a regular on Empty Nest it was clearly noticeable though went undiagnosed until her death in 2003.

What many may remember was that this was also somewhat a Mamas Family Reunion with Vicki(the Host) as Mama, Betty White as her Daughter Ellen Jackson and Rue as Mamas Sister Fran Crowley who was written off Mamas Family second life in syndication as having choked to death while swallowing a tooth pick cause she was already on the Golden Girls. Plus also having Mama and Sophia on the same stage was amazing as well. Those ladies were absolutely amazing at what they did.
@andyleal69829 жыл бұрын
also, Betty White also made one last appearance on Mama's Family as Ellen in October of 1986 and the episode was Best Medicine, and also, Earl Boen who had played the reverend on Mama's Family, he played the reverend on the series finale of The Golden Girls in May of 1992 when Dorothy got re-married to Blanche's uncle, he also made another appearance on The Golden Girls in December of 1990, and the lady who played the reverend's wife on Mama's Family only made one appearance on The Golden Palace in 1992, Estelle Getty would later play Sophia again on Empty Nest after The Golden Palace went off the air in 1993, she was very lucky to play such a character for 10 years

how estelle here makes one realize that an actor/actress can really be different in reality. that's why they are called actors/actresses, they only portray roles or characters and sometimes, if not most of the time, completely their opposite. when i first saw this clip i couldnt believe how shy and quiet estelle behaved compared to how she is on set coz of the character she had to play.

It’s like that with a lot of actors, most people don’t realize who you are on screen isn’t who you are in real life. Jaleel White wasn’t really a nerd, Bob Saget wasn’t a squeaky clean germaphobe, and Lisa Whelchel wasn’t a fashionista socialite.
