GOLDEN GOOSE SNEAKERS: PureStar vs. SuperStar- mini review and first impressions, comfort, mod shots

This is a mini review and first impression of the Golden Goose PureStar sneakers. I am comparing them to the SuperStar sneakers that I went thinking I would be buying until I tried the PureStar and my mind was completely changed! I also compare these to the Nike Air Force 1 sneaker and I think they could be compared to the traditional Converse shoes as well.
Let me know your thoughts if you have the SuperStars! How long did they take to break in? Are the worth the $$?

The PureStar insole is not easily removable- I think it’s glued down and I didn’t want to try to pull it out. The SuperStar insole is very easily removed! I tuck the shoelaces under the sole of the SuperStar. The PureStar is more difficult and I tuck the laces behind the tongue of the shoe! PureStar is more cushiony!

The PureStar has about a 1/2” platform. The superstars have a 1” built in lift in the insole. Not too too platform!

I recently purchased some superstars and I love them too! I like having a clean, sleek option and then a more fun option!

LOVED YOUR VIDEO!!! Torn between superstar and purestar because of the superstar worn look and the purestar comfort. Do you think it would be possible to have them distress the purestar in the customization lab?

Thank you for watching!! I know!!! I love the PureStar for comfort and they just look really sleek, but I am hesitant to wear them if there is a possibility of them getting dirty!! I love the idea of distressed PureStars! I reached out to Golden Goose to ask! I’ll let you know when I hear back! Such a great idea!!

So cute! I love the black heel tab! Adds a little something! I’ve recently worn mine on a trip and I think they did really well with the airport and flight, but I wouldn’t wear them for a day of walking. I find them a bit stiff and hot? Maybe from the leather? And I’d rather wear something more breathable for a long day of walking! I got so many compliments on them, they really do look so cute on!!

Nowhere near as comfortable as the superstars. Maybe they’ve changed the style. I found the leather really stiff so didn’t buy them.

Really! That is so interesting. I ended up getting superstars as well and I still think the purestars were quicker to break in and are more comfortable! Maybe they are using stiffer materials now. My superstars were tough to break in!!

@@merloveslux I didn’t need to break in the superstars at all. I guess we all have different feet 🤣 I tried on two types of the purestars today, a leather and a new vegan bio based purestar. TBH I didn’t notice a difference, both very hard. The shop assistant agreed and said the superstars are softer because they are worked on a lot in order to get the distressed look. Enjoyed your review by the way and I’m about to buy another pair of superstars, I just love them.

@@merloveslux yes getting a pair with the silver glitter star and they don’t look as distressed.
