Honestly, people have been sleeping on Brad Stevens for a while he's by far getting more out of his guys than anyone would have dared believe. Stevens took a bunch of scrubs and made them the #5 rated defensive team two years ago, last year he took a squad hampered by Isaiah Thomas' defensive liabilities to the 11th best defensive rating and the number1 seed in the East. This year even with the loss of Hayward the Celtics are the number 1 rated team on defense, are the number 1 team in steals, are among the league leaders in rebounds. AND this team has played SIX rookies and 11 new players, having done all this while only having played 16 meaningful games together so far... yeah, he's a MAX contract guy alright.

He should split it with Danny Ainge then for building him a good team to coach. I was kind of disappointed when they got both Hayward and Irving (crazy I know) because I wanted them to build via the draft and only pick up a player if it was someone like LeBron, Durant, Anthony Davis etc. Turns out the team Ainge built is great. Can only imagine what they will be like adding a 23 pgg all star scorer to there team in Hayward when he is finally healed.

Brian Cheng I think the injury at the beginning of the season was a blessings in disguise because jaylen brown would’ve never got the chance to be a starter and have his number called same goes for tatum it helped develop them to step up and not have to be second to Hayward. Now saying all that I think they’ll need hayward come playoffs because he’s experienced and a much better player

nothing would be different. You can't look at a person's ppg and just add a portion to the total score. He'd have to eat out of someone else's shot attempts and make them more efficient to add 10-15 more to the team's total scoring, and right now, Tatum is pretty efficient, although not the scorer Haywards is, also isn't taking as many attempts Hayward would either.

you can have all the advantages in the world, but if the officials don't buy it, you still lose because they are the ones literally controlling the game. 3 key calls that would have put GS on top. the "block" jaylen had on klay that was just a foul, tatum's travel 7:28, and phantom foul at the crucial last minute (usually refs "play on")

I like both these teams alot but jesus the nba needs new refs. Literally i could tell brown got no ball on thompson before they showed the different angel. But kyrie gets a little shove on a drive and get free throws that changed the game. love these two teams but would have been a way better game if the refs were fair with there calls.

Totally agree. The Warriors kept getting big leads but the Celts had to keep coming back and had a little help from the refs. I give boston credit but cmon now, the Warriors play solid defense on most nights. How could a team that good on D be that lousy against a team that doesn't score more than 104 points a night?

Celts look pretty good, but theres a little bit of fools gold here. They have good defense but they don't shoot the ball very well on most nights, esp tonight. Refs helped them out with 38 FTs tonight. And the Warriors defense is very good, so you cant tell me the Celts are just that good at getting to the line...

cosovic, the celts won by 4 points and it was tied with less than a minute, so I'm not gonna say the celts outplayed the Ws, it came down to the ticky tack foul called in favor of Kyrie. I give boston cred, but cmon, everything was a foul against GS, and I don't think the W's even shot FTs in the 4th qtr.

We were horrendous from the 3 pt line today but all in all we showed character. This game still highlights some of our shortcomings but to hold the best team in the NBA to below 90 points and get the W is a massive step in the right direction. CELTIC PRIDE

I accepted the loss...GSW fan here...it was disappointing but a win is a win so congrats to Boston...they played better tonight...it should be a lesson learned and a humbling experience for the GSW team... p.s.
