I'm 42 I've seen Jordan, Magic, Bird, Shaq, Kobe, Iverson and Olajuwon. When I first saw Lebron I've never seen anything like him. He was 6'8 265lbs and faster than Iverson, passed like Magic, shoots like Bird, strong like Shaq, scores like Jordan, Kobe's determination and plays Defense like Hakeem.💯 He is a combination of all of them. 💯✌
@SFXingful
@SFXingful Жыл бұрын
I'm 45 and while Lebron is great in his own right he ain't as fast as AI was, not as strong as Shaq was, not as good a shooter as Bird was, I mean come on... nor does he score like Jordan, but he's like 80% of all of these and that in combination is SAVAGE. You ain't never seen anything like Shaq, MJ and AI either, if you're being real about it. Nor Bird. I guess Kobe is a lesser version of MJ, and Hakeem is similar to say Embiid now, but those other dudes, no one is like them at all.
@odsickson1
@odsickson1 Жыл бұрын
@@SFXingful Lebron chased down Iverson, He isn't stronger than Shaq but many players have commented because of his size, strength and speed its similar to Shaq driving to the basket, I've never seen Bird shoot 3's from the range Lebron hits them from and if I'm not mistaken Lebron has made more 3 pointers than Bird has and as far as scoring like Jordan, Lebron is the greatest scorer of all time.💯 To your point if you think he's 80% of all that it's still amazing and that was my whole point saying we've never seen anything like him and I don't think we will ever again when he's gone.💯
@odsickson1

I wasn't saying he's stronger than Shaq, I said he's strong like Shaq. Lebron is by far the strongest SF we've ever seen and also stronger than most of the PF's we've ever seen. Everything else you agreed with me on and your right I don't think we'll ever see anything like him again . Only 2 players I think got a chance of being like Lebron right now are Giannis and Zion because they're freaks if nature also. 💯💯

For anyone who doesn't know the context behind this game and for those who just happened to see this video, I'll give you the context. Before this game, LeBron James has basically achieved every single achievement individually: MVPs, All Star MVPs, All Star Games, All NBA Teams, and many other accolades except for defensive player of the year. The only one missing is the ultimate goal, which is a championship. He went into the NBA Finals with the Cavs in 2007 but he has faced the much more experienced and heavily favored Spurs, which had them swept the Cavs. Since then, LeBron hasn't made back into the NBA Finals. He got close in 2009 but on those last games, he basically disappeared in those games and for that, he was heavily criticized because again, LeBron has achieved so much individually but underachieved in the playoffs. Then in 2010 free agency, LeBron decided to go to Miami in a nationally televised program called The Decision. That move was received negatively by everyone and viewed as “unnecessary” because it was unprofessional, and a punk move on the part of LeBron. It was so bad that some Cavs fans burned his jersey and putting it on camera. LeBron has formed the “Big 3” with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh and was heavily favored to win the championship. LeBron’s first year was basically a year full of media and fan scrutiny and he was also the most disliked athlete because again, his decision to tell that he was going to the Heat in a nationally televised program was uncalled for, and unnecessary. The Miami Heat then went to the NBA Finals facing the Dallas Mavericks, which the Heat were heavily favored. They were up 2-1 games, but LeBron has again disappeared, scoring only 8 points in game 4 and played bad for the rest of the series and the Mavs went on for the biggest upset, winning the championship in 6 games. This is the biggest meltdown that LeBron has faced in his career. After the championship series, the media, former players, and the fans were after on LeBron, heavily criticizing him for disappearing again, especially in the Finals where they were heavily favored, and it was deemed that LeBron will just seemingly disappear if he needs to step up or if he needs to win a big game. Facing the next season, LeBron was determined to get back and redeem himself. He won the MVP in that season (his 3rd), and the Miami place second in the Eastern Conference. In the Eastern Conference Finals, the Heat faced the Boston Celtics, which is a rivalry existed between LeBron and the Celtics. The Heat were up 2-0 games, but the Boston Celtics managed to tie up the series. In game 5, Paul Pierce drained a 3 pointer in LeBron’s face to seal the game, and Boston was now up 3-2 games. Everyone assumed that the Celtics will go to the NBA Finals because game 6 is In Boston and everyone expects that LeBron is not going to show up based on his past games where he didn’t show up. Everyone is heavily criticizing and also questioning LeBron’s legacy coming into this game, and this game answered all of those questions and shutting the criticisms up.

The funny thing is the Celtics could have won this series if they had just played them straight up on D and not double team Wade. Lebron punished them for that, particularly in game 1 and game 6 (this game). From a 2012 perspective, it was an interesting strategy. Lebron wasn't aggressive in the finals the year before and lebrons playstyle is that he likes to facilitate. If you double team Wade and say either lebron has to beat us by scoring or he has to find another teammate to step up for him to able to facilitate like he wants to. But even then, I said doc was a fool for this strategy. Game 1 Lebron punished them scoring. In Game 2, Chalmers stepped up and scored like 25 points which helped offset the poor shooting of lebron that game (he still got 30 though) to give the heat 2-0 lead. After game 1, they should have nixed the strategy because once they fell behind 2 games it was gonna be next to impossible to bring it back. Give them credit for fighting back to win 3 straight but that was because of the big four in Boston. The strategy double teaming Wade wasn't why they came back. I know somebody gonna say well they took it to 7 games with that strategy but they likely wouldn't have needed 7 games to actually win it if doc had a better gameplan or if he had made an adjustment after game 1. The fact they had a halftime lead in game 2 using the Wade strategy was probably the worst thing that could have happened to them because even though lebron absolutely punished them in the second half which opened things up for Wade, they stuck to the strategy because they had the lead. But people forget Bosh was out the first 4 games of the series and didn't play starter-level minutes until game 7. Given all the circumstances, it's pretty clear the strategy didn't work and they let a great opportunity slip through their fingers.

Check out lebron from 03- 04, 05. 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, 13. Lebron has always been a big time scorer, more lethal than wade, boston should have doubled teamed him.

@@kennethmoore8126 absolutely but at the time, the belief was that lebron wasn't a scorer in the vein of a Kobe, Michael or even a dwayne wade. They were wrong but that's just what people believed, they thought lebron couldn't carry a team by scoring in the playoffs which was silly if you think about the 07 playoffs.

I suspect the idea was that Wade would make more errors and turnovers. Whereas Lebron wants to see double teams cause with his size and passing skills he'll pretty much always make the right pass and do it fast and accurate enough for the Boston defense to go into scramble mode. I remember this like it was yesterday...loved this Heat team and even I could not believe how good of a game James played. I think by G6 he realized these were the shots he was being given by Boston's defense and just went for them without any hesitation.

I disagree, this ECF game 6 is Lebron's greatest game ever! If the heat lost this game it would have been the end of the D-Wade Lebron and Chris Bosh Heat Era! With Lebron knowing this could end the Heat team; this ECF game 6 had way more pressure on Lebron's Shoulders than that 2007 game 5 against the Pistons. No one was expecting the Cavs to beat the Pistons in 2007.

@@kaimanabissen in 2007 no one expected him to win. Which makes it more impressive. He was 22 years old. He was a better player in 2012 than what he was in 2007. In 2012 he was expected to win, the heat were the favorites before the series started.

2007 g5 vs Pistons 2012 g6 vs Celtics 2013 g7 vs Spurs 2014 g4 vs Nets 2016 g5, g6, g7 vs Warriors 2018 all series - most notably, game g2 vs Toronto, g1 vs Warriors You can pick and choose. It's all a matter of preference. For the single 2011 failure, he's had all these games and series to make up for it. If my memory serves me right, nobody in NBA history except him and MJ have multiple signature games in the playoffs when it matters the most.

This was his peak as a player. His defense was world-class and didn't short that end of the floor (Miami wouldn't allow it), and he controlled the game by holding the ball less that he usually did. This was a Larry Bird/Michael Jordan level of game. He'd only really bring the ball up from a rebound to make a fast decision or would call a real play to cut weak-side and make a supreme move from the post. Much prefer this version than any other version because he actually played a style that allowed for a team game.
