The black colour is affected by light, of course. In my case, I moved young calico orandas with little Sumi pattern from a glass tank to a pond full of algae, then the pattern became darker and some of red patterns were replaced by the Sumi one. Also, the one which was moved from the pond to the tank had its black pattern fadded away. You could add factors from nutrient that affect the colour in the video as well. Great video btw

I wish you’d gone into more colourations. I have oranda pandas and Ranchus one of my orandas is a brown panda. I’ve recently learnt that brown is extremely rare! Love to your wiggle bum babies from mine! 😊

Hi Chris ,I love all of the different varieties of goldfish colours that are available. I have a redcap very similar to your one. I couldn’t find her today. My little Bonny Redcap was no where to be seen. Usually she is the first to come and eat. I searched all over and eventually found her squashed between the liner and a plant. I hope that she will be ok. I don't know how long she was stuck for. I completely see why you keep your tank as clear from 'stuff' as possible. I hope my little Bonnie is a tough cookie. 😊
