This is precisely how golf should be taught. I learned taking lessons when I was younger and then my dad is a very serious golfer, but you need these jokes, these things that help you take the sport less serious, and swing more relaxed. I love your content dude, this is good stuff. I played a par 3 earlier today, did my best to stay out of the scheisse.

I used the system last week and got my best score ever for 9 and beat my friend who always batters me. I don't think I'll hit more than a 7 again, unless I am confident (through practice) that I can hit longer clubs. The Way Of The Playa is the way forwards!

Head Playa, I've been living in the 80's last few months with a lot of it due to your tips & attitude towards the game!! I even broke 40 on the front 9! the cerebral golfer. that's the name of this channel I have a place for my swing coach. this is where I learn how to think. that's beyond important in the game. I can hit the shot but is it the right idea... I find that whrn left to my own devices I tend to do the hero shot instead of actually playing golf. well done gyro of golf intelligence. well done.

Re: your comment about walk, don't ride. I know I'm a lone voice crying in the wilderness, but carts are the bane of golf. You get no feel for the game. Carts slow down the pace of play. Put 4 average to bad golfers in 2 carts and you are guaranteed a 4 1/2 to 5 hour round. People wait to be driven 50 yards to their ball and then begin to think about the shot. Someone hits a ball in the woods, all 4 golfers go look for it. Ready golf is nonexistent. They park the damned things in front of the green and have to walk forever to retrieve it to move to the next tee. You get virtually no exercise. They should be used only by people who would otherwise not be physically able to play golf. P.S. I hate carts.

Makes me appreciate being in Scotland where you almost always have to walk. I wouldn't dream of taking a buggy around a links course here. Sure, the wind and weather are often hell, but it's so nice being able to spend a day walking in a beautiful setting.

Agreed......conservative club/strike choice wins the race 😉 playing fairway golf gives you a chance to score well. 👍 Also, for my game would use a 4H instead of 4 iron for the longer par4/5s.

Watched you before last round shot a 73. I usually tune out alot but i really buckled down. I realized I lose focus after about the 4th hole im usually around -1 to +1 through 4 then something happens off the tee i start not playing my shape i start narrowing down say for instance id normally play 10 yards off the green to the left for some reason i start narrowing down my dispersion and will end up low 80s by end of the round. That and the going low really helped

Tin cup. YOU HIT THAT DRIVER and be a MAN! Play aggressive, you know why? Because you're not playing for anything, so you have nothing to lose. Hit the ball, be aggressive and you will end up a better golfer in the long run (maybe not as good as you could be now) but it teaches you to be confident and not run from a challenge. Just my two cents.
