When we drove past the imposing walls of Gomosanseong Fortress, we knew we had to go back to it the next day. We explored a small part of the fortress area where we took in stunning views over the valley, and then we traversed part of the Tokkibiri Trail. The trail is narrow and treacherous, skirting the outside of the mountain. There are poems carved into the rock in certain areas from passersby many hundreds of years ago. And to top it off, legend has it that troops led by King Taejo once marched through the pass.
