There have been a number of announcements lately from some popular KZfaq content creators indicating they are going to stop or curtail their video uploads in the future. A couple people have asked me if I had any plans to stop producing Cavalcade of Food videos, which I've been doing for 13 years. The short answer is "no" - and I explain why in the video. Whether you've been watching for many years or have just joined us, you have my deep thanks and appreciation for watching!

I haven't seen any of these false claims, maybe I don't follow these channels, but I would have been very concerned if I had seen it! Thank you for setting the record straight. Greg, I have seen the thumbnails but not watched the videos, they DO exist, just scroll down the thumbnails on the right of your screen and you'll usually find at least one or 2 of them. These are channels I have not followed, let alone even were aware they existed but none are whom I've subscribed to, thankfully and so far they are not (like Kevin) showing any signs of quitting. Most of whom I watch and subscribed to are seasoned content creators in a variety of topics such as auto repair, kitchen/food related etc. Personally, I think it's a meme do jour of the moment and yes, I'm a creator too but not posted of late due to life getting in the way at the moment but I also am well aware that we likely can't even rely totally on YT for full income, but have to diversify our income to merchandise, memberships, patreon etc as well as interacting more to the commenters (like Casey LaDelle has) and he even has a T-shirt saying I hate Casey LaDelle on it, just to stir the pot if you will. He's doing quite well, it seems, but he also has a legit business, and YT is just a part of it.

There wasn't anyone who said that I was planning on quitting, but there have been a number of prominent KZfaq creators who have recently announced they were going to stop, and I heard from a few people asking me if I was going to do likewise. I'm glad that you find value in the videos and still enjoy watching the older episodes when Ralph and I were still spring chickens! LOL - thanks so much, Greg!

Nice to hear a little more about you. I think the same thing about the bigger youtubers, I fear some will crash and burn mentally. They are starting to cross over and do the same stories and same locations. They will run out of content. I always feel like we just stopped by for a visit to your kitchen.

About a month or so KZfaq shut me off.. black screen & said must update so I was going to get help from AT&T I'm not smart on phone to adjust things so I did go to settings & fixed it YAY I love the channel so just today I notice there was a noticed a money to give to A video I only subcibe not joined,, So in short you tube has updated so maybe that's why you saw your error. I love your channel, Kevin, because it's 100% original. Few people are producing content like yours. So many of the videos on YT are just clones of 50,000 other videos. At the end of the day, it's important to do what makes you happy. YT should be about fun. When it becomes a full-time, hectic job and absolute drudgery, it's time to quit.

I kinda have been getting a thing for vintage stoves and fridges. But I'm a guy who loves working on all things old wether it be cars, appliances or what have you. Thank you, Donna! For those who are full-time content creators, I think there is a lot of pressure and for some it's not sustainable for the long term. There also seems to be more videos that are actually AI generated, which is a whole other world. Anyway, I'm just going to keep doing my thing. Appreciate you watching!

We're glad you're staying Kevin, you know I watched your video on community cookbooks, and it reminded me of my grandma's sister who had a church cookbook that she got from Houston back in the 80s. Shes passed now but her handwriting and good recipes still live on! Have you ever heard of the Encyclopedic Cookbook? It's a 900 paged cookbook made in the 40s by the Culinary Arts Institute. Has 10,000 recipes. I really want to get it. They have a recipe for everything.
