Nice video bobby....agreed that the bmw phev blown 4 powertrain are smooth, fast and great for city runabout ....but for longer journeys...cant go wrong with the silky smooth bmw straight six.....and yes...it is a super complicated solution to a problem of reducing emission and being more efficient.....

left foot on brake, right foot gently on accelerator till petrol engine turns on. Engine will now stay on when u open drivers door. Sincerly, X3e owner

Good honest review. I can’t believe so many people are saying the GLC has the best build, best transmission & quietest in this class. What. A. Joke. Especially the CKD’s model.

Brother Ang. Perhaps you can mention in next BMW that the charging tray can be used to unlock / start car with iPhone or apple watch on it. Nowadays I don't ever bring my car keys since I bought mine.

Hi Bobby, i saw a hazard at your condo's parking. Why the metal handrail mounted on your parking ramp is way out of the position? It's not ended at the pillar but pull out about 1feet from the pillar... potential dent to cars if the driver turns too closely... hmm...

I will always prefer a well sorted fixed suspension than one that relies on adjustables or air suspension. A well tuned and sorted one like Ford Focus, Ford Mondeo, Ford Everything or VW Passat or BMW G30 will cost you less to use and run over long periods of time. As for air suspension, it's just lazy and throwing money at a problem and let customers continue throwing money as each component fails one by one over the years

Very nice review Sir...! I'm on the verge of switching to the hybrid from the previous generation' 30i petrol version. Would you know what's the total autonomy when driving in full Auto edrive? Meaning when you leave it to the system to manage between ev and petrol engine. I can't find this info anywhere...

Generally hybrids have higher fuel consumption if you dont charge them fully everyday at every opportunity you have.

But I was just wondering on a longer drive, what would be the range difference between the regular 30i petrol version vs the hybrid version when set to Auto eDrive mode (i.e. leaving the car's system managing it). Is the total range of an the PHEV shorter than the petrol one? The same? I'm really struggling to find this information anywhere...

The reason you have hard suspension is because you are on sport mode. Red colour is sport mode with stiffer suspension

Thanks for the detailed review Bobby. I am wondering why BMW do not put perforated leather on the steering wheel. IMO AMG line's and Q5 Sline's steering wheel look super nice and sportier with such perforated leather on the steering wheel ...

Hi Bobby, nice review as always. However, didn't get your feedback to the comfort level of passengers sitting behind? In addition, how uncomfortable if the car is sitting 5 adults, average size say around 5' 5"?

It pulls happier, revs faster, and is just as smooth. Yeah at higher revs the old straight six does sound better and in mid range pulls stronger, but these new fours are just so accomplished. Of course the B58 new straight six is amazing too but I'm comparing to my own 640i N55 engine

Previously owned e92 335i, and f82 m4...collected my G01 x3e yesterday and yes...the new 4 pot is so good, i would put it almost on par with both my previous 6 potters. its totally seamless and oooodles of torque at low speeds

To be honest, I'm a wagon guy. But I get the allure of SUVs, especially now that all of them handles so well and are no longer clumsy at bends.

@@teoweeli oh yes, then X3s, GLCs, XC60s are perfect for you. Or even a BMW 630i Gran Turismo (even a used one) would be perfect as they're just high enough to be at your hip point for easy entry and exit, and the frameless doors means if you parked at a tight spot, you can first lower the window to easily get out of the car and then hold the remote when you lock the car to close the window while you are already out. :)
