Sonic Heroes like you, is one of my favorite Sonic games, played it as a kid (i'm 30 now), never had problem with controls. Only thing was the Grade system that was sometimes way harder than it should, without telling us what to improve.

5:12 id say that it is fair to call the game repetitive as to unlock the final story you have to play all of the storys to completion with repeating levels, if you only had to complete 2 of them to unlock the final story than id say that it is fair not calling them repetitive as most of them would be optional difficulties.

A sonic hero’s remake makes me feel both happy and scared. A part of me thinks this could be a huge glowup for the game, with the devs fixing and improving the overall experience. And than the other side of me thinks this is gonna be like colors ultimate, where the devs manage to introduce more problems and issues to the game, and my god sonic hero’s does NOT need any more bugs and glitches than it already has. It could make the pinball section impossible 😭

its not just difficulty though. in order to finish sonic heroes you HAVE to go through all of them. and each team, while not as deep as the adventure games, do have their own stories. yeah its just to loosely give them a reason to be out and about but its still there.

The only problem I have with Heroes remake is that it is like 2-3 games deep in prior lore and characters. Odd spot to start making 3D remakes for any new fans to join in. I guess they can do a little lore recap in the extras menu or something.

It is awesome that Sonic Heroes is getting a remake but I would also like to see them remake Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 also. So that way I don't have to take out my GameCube constantly just for my me to play them.

Fingers crossed that the story gets a bit of tightening up; I'd especially like to see more polish on Metal Sonic, since the whole idea of him going rogue is kinda cool but could have been more refined. Either way, it'll be fun to play it anew

dude I loved Heroes. I always viewed it as part of the Adventure line up. Glad to hear it is in it's baby phases though, and glad that Midori isn't left.

If there’s going to be Sonic Heroes, then not only Sonic Team should make the graphics be like masterpiece and make the gameplay more masterpiece (especially in the special stages), but also they should make extra stuff (especially extra teams) to make the challenges worth it [like Team Silver, the team of Fang, Bean and Bark (I forgot their team’s name, leave in the comments if you know the name please), Team Eggman, Team Metal Sonic and that Group called Chaotix group (Mighty, Tiara and Ray)]. I want a sonic colors ds remake, it had better story then the console and it was pretty fun, it was hard but not on the classic games (at least to me.).

I hope they fix the story. I have a bit of a guilty pleasure for Sonic heroes but it's story really just felt kind of slapped together with it's final act having a "Somehow Palpatine has returned" kind of feeling. I'm not asking for the greatest story ever but like ... give metal sonic a more prominent role and show some scenes explaining WTF is happening. Like why is metal sonic taller? What did eggman mean about him "finally transforming"? We are never given any explanation for any of this. Sonic heroes has the makings of a good story but it has too many gaps to really get a feel for it.

Let’s hope the remake use archived cutscenes from the original game and/or re use the models seen in Sonic Dream Team. We need to remake to use the Dream Team / Prime models.

4:10 you're speaking my language lol, I mean I still struggle on occasion but yeah, back of my hand, Heroes is arguably my most played 3d Sonic game. Then it's also nice to see someone defend the different routes, yeah ok they're basically the same but the subtle differences are what matters. Rose short stages fewer enemies, Sonic longer stages more enemies more about speed if you want those A ranks, while team dark is hard mode even longer stages than team sonic, with the most baddies and focus on fighting rather than speed. I will say though I think it should be optional to beat all 4 before the final final boss,maybe make just 2 stories required. While yes Team Rose is easy mode... like come on, who is playing that team for their 1st run? You're either drawn to Team Sonic because it's the classic characters, Team Dark because YAY SHADOW ISN'T DEAD, and maaaaaybe Team Chaotix because "new characters". At least back in the day, Team Rose was the last team I went with and I was bored out of my mind by then. So I think... at least 2, you pick 2 teams to go with, and of course all 7 chaos emeralds THEN you can fight the final final boss, , and beat the other 2 teams whenever you feel like it. That's like the only change I would make in terms of base game play, maybe a reward for beating Super Hard Mode (yes even though unlocking it IS the reward it still feels lack luster vs Adventure 1 giving you Metal Sonic, or Green Hill in Adventure 2). Be cool to add new teams, but super unlikely and the game is for the most part perfect as is. I think it would also be cool if they had 2 play styles, classic for those of us that grew up on the slippy slides lol, and then of course a more refined controls. If I had to make a new team or 2... I'd say Team Classic, Mighty as Power/Speed and Ray as flight, although if you slapped Classic Sonic with them then yeah Mighty is power, if you can find someone else to be power than Mighty works as a speed character too. Then Team Time Space, Silver, Blaze, and that Racoon girl from Rush Adventure. A new story as Neo Metal would be super cool too, him being basically all 3 roles, or maybe they do add Metal Tails and Knuckles to back him up, we see how he became Neo Metal Sonic. Those are just pipe dreams though, if they wanted to go above and beyond, apologies so long just... hot damn do I love Heroes and just want to see more lol.

Good News are upcoming Sonic Heroes Remake, I've been interested of Sonic Heroes for a long time, but I've never had that game, because I don't have a Nintendo Gamecube where Sonic Heroes is, so it would be awesome if Sonic Heroes HD Remake is really making right now for today's Platforms like PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One/X/S and Ps4/Ps5. And it's so nice upcoming Sonic mobile game is coming to Android too, not only to Apple like what sadly happened with Sonic Dream Team. As a big Sonic fan, every year is a good year.
