How casting usually works is that there’s different casting directors for different countries that in charge of casting actors and extras so they are shooting in the uk then she’d be the person handling that stuff. I don't see Amy working out in this movie. In fact Hollywood doesn't ever do the Sakura Haruno, the Nami, the Amy Rose type characters. That is not their forte. I hope the Shadow is the only character that gets introduced here as adding more characters like Amy or Rouge could be challenging, especially in a setting where these characters were never from Earth in this trilogy. They're all aliens. I can see how Tails worked out well enough but I fail to see how else they can pull this off plot wise.

Ever since the Wade Wipple show came out (not calling it Knuckles if it doesn't focus on him) I've become at bit scared of the 3rd movie because I can only assume the writers strike caused this problem and Sonic 3 was caught in it... I can't help but feel superstitious about it.

I loved her character in the Boom series. It portrayed her to be a little crazy but controlled, and having a deep love interest on Sonic but not showing it on the surface, kind of like Helga on Hey Arnold!
