A car that plays Nothing but Queen unless Aziraphale is driving, all of a sudden starts playing "A Nightingale Sang in Berkley square". That's what broke me, even when Crowley was brokenhearted and thought Aziraphale died in season one, it played the queen. But this broke him so bad that's what played, and it has ruined me for months now.

When I first watched this finale, I felt like I got hit by a truck. I didn’t get out of bed all day. Devastated. The thing is, I’m not mad at either of them. I see both perspectives. It really was a horrible situation that they are put into over and over and over again. They can’t get peace! They can’t get people to stop dragging them into their schemes and plots. At least we know that season three is for sure happening. When this first came out, we weren’t sure if we were going to be renewed to finish up the story. Love your reactions!

Aw, I want to give you a hug. So sad. I love that you understand both Aziraphale's and Crowley's feelings and thought processes. Great wrapup. I think Muriel is just excited to not be the lowest ranking of angel. By the way, David Tennant just got a BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) nomination for Best Lead Male Performance in a Comedy for television for _Good Omens._ They have two awards ceremonies per year, one for movies and one for film (kind of like if the Oscars and Emmys were one or the other). I know we'd all like for him and Michael Sheen to both be nominated and win in a tie, but, really, they'd just split the vote. This is also Tennant's first nomination (he's won a lot of other awards). Anyway, he also recently hosted the BAFTAs (for movies) and he and Michael Sheen and some other people were involved in the opening skit, so I'd like to suggest you could react to that (just the opening skit part but make sure you've hit the end of it). The ceremony is on Britbox, but the skit is also on KZfaq. I think you'd enjoy it.

Jeez, you're the second reactor I follow who dropped this episode today. I'm not sure if I feel blessed or cursed. Bring on the feels, I guess! As for recommendations, you might want to check out Our Flag Means Death next if you haven't already watched it. It has kinda a similar vibe to Good Omens (minus the religion but there are pirates!). There are only two seasons, and the first has either eight or ten episodes. As for the ending of this season, I am holding onto Neil's view of how it all ends: the Ineffable Husbands retiring to a cottage in the countryside. Gaiman can pry that from my cold, dead hands.

Thank you for saying that you understand where they're both coming from! They both have a point and they both care SO MUCH, they're just coming at the issue from different angles and talking past each other. I saw someone describe it as Aziraphale believing that the system is broken and needs to be fixed, and Crowley believing that the system is working as intended and needs to be dismantled. It's heartbreaking and REAL.

Lots of love, baby girl 💖I was a little worried for you to watch this one. I'm glad you've at least got your head on straight about the fact that they'll obviously work it out. We were all devastated, and I think a lot of people had a hard time even thinking about that. We all know they're gonna end up saving the world and then moving into a little cottage in the South Downs somewhere where Crowley can plant a garden and Aziraphale can have his tea time. Retirement will look good on them, lol

I'm not mad at Aziraphale for wanting to reform Heaven, that's totally understandable and honestly I may have tried it myself in his position. I AM mad at him for his utter obliviousness to Crowley's negative feelings about Heaven, his unintentional yet very apparent othering of Crowley by grouping him in with Hell when he said YOU'RE the bad guys, and his sheer lack of understanding about the basic point Crowley's been trying to show him this whole time, Morality is morality irrespective of head offices. Right is right and wrong is wrong. Heaven is not THE source of goodness, the arbiter of justice that Aziraphale is still clinging to desperately. Crowley thought Azi understood after the Apocalypse, but the indoctrination is still too strong.

Ooo boy... and here we are. I got a lot to say, because I always do! :D Firstly, I hope you weren't spoiled about the kiss. In your s1ep6 reaction, someone left a comment spoiling it, and I noticed you liked the comment, so I hope these reactions are weeks old that even by the time that video was up, you were done with this season. To be fair, they did also put a warning, but still... people also post jokes, and I nearly replied to them, but I thought it best to just say nothing. Remember those times you said Crowley should be an angel again? Bet that's not feeling so good now huh. XD It's true, he shouldn't have fallen, but I understand why he would never want to go back. Falling is traumatic for one, and to go crawling back to those who kicked you out... it's just not it, and it's the one thing he isn't prepared to do for Aziraphale. Speaking of, dunno if you're aware, but Az gets a lot of hate for his decision, but I felt you were going to be super understanding towards him. While my initial reaction to Az leaving wasn't good towards him (along with all the sobbing), I had to allow everything to digest and see things from his angle. While I do not approve of some of his wording/things said during their final talk (i.e "You're the bad guys", "I forgive you"), I understand that it's in Az's nature to want to help, to protect. Running away is only a temporary solution, and we even witnessed Bee and Gabriel be threatened of being hunted down, not to mention allowing the earth to perish, which Az would never allow, and nor will Crowley, once he's done stewing. Even tho I could tell you were upset, you held it together really well, even laughing through the pain. I, and many others, are not that strong. XD Anyway, I know this is a little long, but I obviously couldn't say much in past reactions. I've really enjoyed your GO and Hannibal reactions, tho I don't have a short show to suggest. I don't know when I'll see you next, but even if it's not until season 3 is here, I wish you all the best!

I think Beelzebub and Gabriel's romance working isn't all the writers. It wouldn't have worked if the actors didn't have incredible chemistry. I feel like they could be very powerful allies for Crowley in getting his husband back next season, and at this point Crowley is desperate enough to put aside his pride and bury the hatchet.

@@HuntingVioletsI know 😊💜 But based on the state of the industry at the moment, I’m still holding on to a fair amount of hope that someone will be interested in such a popular IP once the industry has calmed down (and there are no more looming strikes on the horizon) - prob. a couple of years down the line. I'm an Aziraphale girlie but not apologist. He made the wrong choice. I accept it and understand too why he did. I wish more people were being real about it and not sort of giving him a pass because we love him. He simply chose wrong, he is not infallible. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. He intentions are good but he's being willfully naive. Look at how easily he lumps Crowley in with hell all of a sudden, you're the bad guys. He's wanted to be accepted by heaven for who he is so badly he willingly turns his back on everything he cares about the moment he feels even a little praise and acceptance from them. His religious trauma is real. Aziraphale isn't going to be allowed to make any real changes. It's a fools errand. I respect that he wants to make things better but he's being naive. So what is the Metatron trying at then? He wants to separate them. He is terrified of their combined power. The influence this could have on all the other demons and angels, look at what you can achieve if you work together. Remember how powerful their miracle was while actively trying not to be? Together they could actually change things, so he needed to seperate them.
@colettepot7350
@colettepot7350 3 ай бұрын
I’m not sure. The way Michael is acting doesn’t present an Aziraphale who’s sure going to heaven with Crowly will guarantee a happily ever after. It’s more like he thinks he should play that part (and, unlike Michael, Aziraphale is a terrible actor). Only parts of the conversation with Metatron are revealed to us. There may be more to it than we’re meant to believe. Especially because the writers go to lengths to convince us that Aziraphale’s way smarter than he seems to be.
@mayaenglish5424
@mayaenglish5424 3 ай бұрын
@@colettepot7350 Well we always knew Aziraphale was smart, he's smart AND a dumbass. They both are. Back in season 1 The scene in France, I was like, B!tch this is just a date, the "too many frivolous miracles" thing is the flimsiest excuse I've ever heard. And then he miracled the guy's clothes to swap with his after he literally just got done saying he was reprimanded for too many frivolous miracles and I KNEW he was playing damsel in distress. They just made it more obvious in S2.
@supremeoverlorde2109
@supremeoverlorde2109 3 ай бұрын
He's definitely being naive, but I think it's worth noting that Crowley's suggestion that they run away probably wouldn't do any good either. Not as long as Heaven and Hell want their war. Crowley didn't say, "You won't have as much power as you think you will in Heaven. We can make more of a difference here." He said (or at least, it came across as) "Let's run away and abandon all this." And to be honest, at this point, he should have known there was no way that would work with Aziraphale. He already tried to get Az to run away with him in season 1, and he refused. He refused because that's not who he is. Crowley needs to learn this and accept it, just as Aziraphale needs to start taking Crowley more seriously and accept that he can't ask Crowley to go against who HE is either. I feel like I often see the fandom taking sides and I'm just like, they both made bad choices and completely botched this conversation. Ultimately they both have growing to do. I think you could argue that Aziraphale has MORE to do because he still has a somewhat warped sense of reality and a lot of cognitive dissonance going on. But Crowley's lack of emotional maturity and his inability to let himself be truly open with Aziraphale are also huge problems.

@@supremeoverlorde2109 The thing is, Crowley already thought it was him and Aziraphale plus Earth against all of heaven and hell, that's what he said at the end of season 1. But he can clearly see that Aziraphale still loves heaven, so that's now off the table to Crowley. I think the fight or flight response kicks in when Crowley feels cornered, I don't think he actually does want to leave Earth but doesn't see another option when Aziraphale is so indoctrinated with heaven. And Crowley didn't have any time to fill Aziraphale in on everything he had learned, I suppose that that would have been the time to do it, but to Crowley, I think it didn't matter at that point because he suddenly realized the large gap between them. To Crowley, finding out that heaven wanted to start Apocalypse 2: Electric Boogaloo wasn't a surprise, it was only a matter of time, and it SHOULDN'T have been a surprise to Aziraphale either if they we're on the same page, which Crowley suddenly, gut wrenchingly realized they weren't. And Crowley did let himself be open with Aziraphale at the end of the episode, that's the tragedy, he knew it probably wasn't going to work after listening to what Aziraphale said and he was still emotionally vulnerable anyway. They both made bad choices, I just think Aziraphale made much worse ones.

@@mayaenglish5424 I don't agree that Crowley really let himself be open. He tried, but everything he said just came out like another version of the same things he said years prior when he tried to get Aziraphale to run off with him. That's the point I'm trying to make. Crowley was trying to say, "I love you, and I want to spend eternity with you, but not in Heaven because they broke me and I can't forgive them, and I don't think we can make a difference there." But he didn't say those things. He said the same things that went down badly in season 1 and expected a different outcome. And a big part of Crowley and Aziraphale's issue is that they misunderstand each other because they often make misguided assumptions about what the other is saying, while also assuming the OTHER knows what they're saying without having to come out and say it. "I think your exactly and my exactly are different exactlies" is the best description of their relationship I can possibly think of. It wasn't that Crowley didn't have time to explain everything. He could have slowed things down and insisted they have a proper conversation, especially regarding what he learned about Gabriel in Heaven. He already knew Gabriel didn't want to go through with the Second Coming and that's why he was in trouble, so it stands to reason that going back to Heaven would have put Aziraphale in danger (danger Aziraphale didn't yet know about). But Crowley didn't mention any of that --- he panicked and said all the wrong things, including "I think I understand a whole lot better than you do" without even trying to elaborate. He and Aziraphale were both too wrapped up in themselves to think about how the other felt or what they needed. Aziraphale felt just as betrayed as Crowley, because he genuinely did not understand why Crowley found his offer so insulting. And I can only figure this is because they've never talked about it. Of course, it's notable that we have no way of knowing whether Crowley handling the situation better would have made a difference in Aziraphale's decision. But I can definitely see why his specific approach as it was didn't go over well and served to push Aziraphale further away.
