Can't believe the season went by so fast! I loved you calling out the absolute hypocrisy that was the trial and Claudia having to suffer the consequences of it broke my heart. Her and Louis being ripped apart despite how rocky things have been between them was hard to see bc I knew it would be their last time seeing each other. I truly believed her when she said she would be back to take them all out though. What an amazing character <3 I hope Delainey can return next season in some way.

I love all the old-timey vampire stereotypes sprinkled throughout the show. The bat flying out of Lestat's severed throat. The badass cape walk Louis and Lestat took in S1, ep 2. The necessity of coffins, destruction by sunlight/fire, and the weird propensity to be fashionable (except in depressive or extreme circumstances).

And here I was missing your uncomfortable laughs and the "it's not funny" from Hannibal reactions lol

Although i am glad they didnt go with the book death (she had a f'ed book death too with body horror elements), Claudia was mocked, tortured, and was still treated like an afterthought in front of people she entertained for hundreds of performances. And Lestat held her there, she would have not tried to kill him if he had let her go. But her and her new love get burnt alive 😢. And screw Armand's lying ass

Three minutes in and I’m already cracking up about you calling Claudia murdering all of those people a learning experience 😂 like fr free my girl she’s done nothing wrong, we all have growing pains

When we see Sam's guarding Armand, we also see (especially in the first shot of him there) that he's holding scythe. The coven is also slow a few times to silence outbursts from Claudia and Louis and Lestat going off-script. What if Armand's achilles tendons were also cut, so he'd be slow enough Sam really could behead him with that scythe? What if the coven was also doing mental battle on Armand? When we see Lestat in S1 make all the soldiers leave the home, he gets a nose bleed. Armand is stronger, but this is a larger building with many more people with heightened emotions. It's believable he couldn't pull the banishment hypnosis trick enough to save all three of them. And if he let Claudia live but not Madeline, Claudia really would throw herself into a fire like Armand told Madeline she eventually would, and that might have been even worse for Louis's mental health. If this happened, would you forgive Armand? I do.

When he said Louis chased and hunted him and calling out to him saying Come to me, I legit said "Oh hell naw!!" 😂 Louis calling out to Lestat from his mind!!!!! Lestat HUNTED Louis!!!!!! Lestat if you don't sit yo tall string bean in a pin stripe suit ass down with this lying!!!!! Louis was saying Come to me????? Bruh made a whole record singing "It's been an hour since you been gone. And it's too long so come back home" Lestat.....stop it!! 😂 I'm skeptical of that convo about turning Claudia. Just the part about him saying it's against vampire law to turn her. That sounds too much like right for Lestat. But when Louis dragged Claudia across the carpet begging to turn her, I said "If you dont pick up our not yet daughter sister!!! She already burnt!!!!!! Pick her up!!!!" My daughter sister went out like a G!!! Babygirl said she coming back and killing all of them!! And Louis is about to snap

Knowing what was going to happen with Claudia and Madeline didn't lessen the impact of that scene. Beautiful performances by everyone. Claudia was doomed the day she was born. She was too young. She's always been such a tragic figure in the books for me. I cannot wait until the next episode. I need to see the showdown between Louis and Lestat. Even in death Madeline put Claudia first. I lost it when you heard Dom Louis issue his commands to Armand - girl, I think we ALL reacted that way!!! 🔥👀 I thought Madeleine's turning scene was really lovely (and painfully bittersweet), and the betrayal of the chosen abduction broke my heart! But all it took was Lestat's profile to suddenly have me quivering with excitement AND nerves over what's to come!! I LOVE THIS SHOW - and your reactions!!!

THAT ENDING was so sad... I don't know who will talk to who first in S3, but what if Maggie, Nina and Muriel help them? I hope the characters from S1 come back. P.S.: I think Neil Gaiman said it was just the beginning of their love story now it is canon. And also this separation is necessary.

Lestat would've absolutely adored Madeleine! He'd be like finally, someone who fully embraces our vampiric nature without the affliction of humanity getting in the way! Also if the Coven has anyone they truly fucking hate, its Louis. Claudia at least JOINED them and lived the same life as them (outside of Madeleine). Louis was the one who kept flaunting Armand's favoritism for him in their faces every night for 2 years. If you rewatch the bar scene, they talk about how they left Paris and lived together long enough for flowers to grow on the graves of their victims. Eventually Madeline convinced Claudia to come back to visit, and, well… you know.

Madeleine and Claudia seem to have the healthiest relationship anyone in VC *ever* had and that is is devastating in its own right. Everyone else is also suffering but they're being toxic messes about it and that makes it somewhat better... but THIS. Oh, my girls.

Armand kissing Louis is framed like Judas kissing Jesus because that is how he wants us to see him, a helpless bystander who chose wrong and felt absolute remorse afterwards but is it not god who sees what is coming and CHOOSES not to intercede? Is it not god who, instead of fixing each problem humanity created, chose to flood the earth and start anew? Is it not Armand who didn't want to lead the Children of Darkness anymore, so he directed Lestat and his ire to them, letting it all be broken down so he could build again? Is Armand a betrayer like Judas with no foresight or true power or too far removed from so much with maybe too much power at her fingertips like god who moves her pawns where she wishes to get her desired result? The sad thing is, as much as I wanna delude myself and say no if he had stopped Santiago and saved Claudeleine, Louis wouldn't hold this lingering resentment the unfortunate reality is Armand does not know how to love in a non-all-encompassing way. If Claudia was out there, even if she was happy and never came back, he'd always fear that she COULD and she would take Louis. Even after Madeleine reassured him that Louis does love him, he couldn't take the chance. Claudia apologises to Armand and thanks him for treating her the same as everyone because she's no longer worried about being a third in their marriage, and wants to have a good relationship with her step-mother as people loved by Louis...girl, your step-mother believes in late stage abortion RUN Louis heard Armand get a little choked up, saw those big eyes and FOLDED...Daniel was so disappointed lmao. "Why did I owe *YOU* my shame?" oh this is too good when you think about the fact that Armand is the only one who has actively remembered San Francisco 1973, he remembers that Daniel piqued Louis's interest. That Daniel was sooooo fascinating and was saved by Louis when 128 others hadn't....why would Armand owe the one non-vampire being that has seen him lose control AND clean up Louis's messes, seen Armand's picture-perfect marriage shaken when the husband mocked his dutiful wife. Why should Daniel, ONCE AGAIN, get the privilege of seeing Armand at his core? I love good writing

In the land of gods and monsters, Lestat, Louis, Armand and Claudia are no angels. They're living in anne rice version of the Garden of Evil. Lana del Rey needs to make music for this particular show.

Kate and Anthony had me in a chokehold with their small, stolen moments since they really got to know each other before realizing how strong they were attracted to each other even though they were trying to not be. While this is my favorite couple, I look forward to each season to shake things up. I just hope we always get the Bridgerton family dynamics steady. Loved Anthony's credit to Benedict at the end, I love Benny too!

Oh Armand knew, he always did. He just let it happen as he let Lestat dissolve the coven. He doesn't oppose the changing times that's why he survives, that's what keeps him from becoming insane. That's also why he becomes attached to Lestat and then Louis, he needs them to understand the world around him. He's clearly outgrown Louis by now and that's the reason I believe he brought Daniel back.
