I like when Florida and James gave Michael reasons for why he should stay in school. "School ain't perfect, you know, but that's no call to drop it." "You suck and dry up all the knowledge you can. If that ain't enough then you get some more, but you get what's there." It's also great how James apologized to Michael and then Michael admitted that he could apologize to his teacher." There's nothing wrong with apologizing in certain situations. More of us should take these lessons to heart.

Way too many of us only had shows like this to show us what a family was supposed to be! I'm grateful! I'm also upset that later the people in charge thought laughs were more important than the life lessons we needed to see to know how to survive and thrive!

James is a TRUE!!!!!! parent......to apologize and to admit to his son that he was wrong to attempt to spank him
@dansby37

I liked and laughed at the moment when James kept hesitating from beginning the spanking while Michael was accepting it and going all in by just lying down across James' lap, James saying "Hey, dont rush me" and "What is your hurry?!!". This shows me while knowing he had to do it, (that is until he found out why Michael was failing his history class), James really wasnt looking forward to spanking his son.

@@KtotheG Yes I agree with you there. I liked the Cosby Show until they started making Cliff Huxtable a buffoon and the male bashing got to be too much. The Last Barbecue for instance when Denise and Sondra (egged on by their mother) where making a big deal about there being strippers at Martin's bachelor party (which Denise said he should have one). If I had been Martin, I would have gotten an annulment after that nonsense. The last straw was that episode where the men were pregnant. Less than five minutes into that, I changed the channel and and never watched the show again. Sorry for the rant.
