Lonely. The word MANY people-whether they’re homebound or in the middle of a crowd-would use to describe themselves. No matter your life circumstances or relationship status, we all feel alone at times, and thankfully, we can all do something about it! Check out this episode with Joyce, Ginger, Erin, and our friend and relationship expert Love McPherson for some practical steps and truths from Scripture to help you fight and overcome loneliness when it tries to bring you down.❤️
WALK IT OUT:
The next time you feel lonely, remember that you are deeply wanted and loved by God. Take a minute to look up the verses below and invite the Holy Spirit to make His presence more real to you…and show you at least one person in your life you can begin to cultivate a healthy friendship with. He loves you so much and wants you to feel close to Him and to have life-giving connections with others, too. We love you! ❤️
Scriptures: Isaiah 41:10 - Matthew 28:20 - Romans 8:38-39 - Psalm 68:5-6

Solitude is different than loneliness, I have definitely learned this being single and for the past 6 months an empty nester. Both my jobs I really enjoy. When I am off work I enjoy my solitude. I go to the gym and get into group exercise classes. I go to church and I look for things that I can do and Often I meet some very nice people that I have conversations with. I'm not bothered by doing things on my own. I'm Going out to dinner with church members this Saturday and after that I'm not wasting my cute outfit lol, gonna walk around the mall and go see a movie 🎥 I enjoy my own company. It took time to learn to do that. ALWAYS invite Holy Spirit with you EVERYDAY 🙏🏽 laugh at the quirky stuff you do and don't take yourself too serious.

I began to feel loneliness when my Daddy passed away in 1982 & my mother remarried a few yrs later. I feel like I lost part of my Mother after she remarried. And the 2nd time I experienced a great deal of loneliness was back in 2013, I began experiencing health issues. It was one diagnosis after another, the worst being a rare liver disease I was diagnosed with in 2016 which runs in my Mother’s side of the family. She had two brothers die with liver disease as well as two nephews. As I slowly began not being able to go like I used to & could not do for people like I used to, Most of my friends slowly started slipping away. I guess b/c I wasn’t able to do like I used to & they’d have to help me in certain areas if we were away from home. It’s been a lonely road w/o those friends & feeling like I had lost part of my Mother’s love when she remarried & had a new family. Maybe it’s selfish of me to feel this way & if it sounds that way, I am sorry. It’s just the way I’ve felt for a long long time!

Loneliness is traumatic. I’m struggling with my mental health right now and loneliness is a big part of it. I am trying to reach out but sometimes it’s hard just to make myself shower and go to work. I use to be a bold and outspoken and loving person. Did so much ministry. I don’t recognize myself and it hurts to feel that loneliness. It’s insecurity and getting older feeling like a failure and being abused and not knowing if people could even like me anymore especially like this. But I am looking to Jesus. He is the way out of this and I am trusting him. I had loneliness before and he gave me a great group of friends. I know he can lead me through this and make me a better Christian woman from it all. God bless and don’t lose hope that is what the enemy wants. He wants you broken on the bed crying.

You are not alone. Loneliness had plagued me for 15 years. I constantly asked God "who's sins am I paying for??" I cried to him many time but it never left me. 7 months ago I hit rock bottom, here I am feeling alone and lonely at times trying to keep my faith in God. I pray to God he eases my pain as well as yours ❤

I hear so many people talk about how worshiping God brings them intimacy and they feel a closeness to God or feel His presence, and I long for that SOOOOO MUCH, but I have never experienced this myself. I am going through an extremely difficult season right now because my husband of 41 years had an affair and left me for the other women 4 1/2 months ago, and I feel absolutely devasted, heartbroken, terrified and so very very ALONE!! I need to experience the presence of the Holy Spirit so desperately, but I feel like I must be doing something wrong because I am still struggling so much with these horrible feelings even though I pray and cry out to Jesus to pledge help me. Anyone out there, please pray for me!! 🙏

This was amazing ladies cause we all suffer from loneliness. Loneliness was part of my life since I can remember, I remember when my children moved out, I was devastated having anxiety, stress, worry, fear, because I was so used to them being part of my life, because I had a really bad life as a child, and my children became my world, my best friends besides God now I have one more son to leave but I probably will be a little sad, but loess is evicted because I have the word of God to stand on things too our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and his bible ❤ and all those great sermons that Joyce has preached hallelujah and amen. I pray someone really receives from this message and gets healed. You tell loneliness you are a evicted. You are not welcome here and you stand on every scripture that talks about or sad or left or broken because that’s not what we got intended for life to be for us love you ladies. God bless you.

I've suffered from chronic loneliness my whole life. Despite putting a lot of thought and effort into creating a better social life, I am still dissatisfied. The discussion on loneliness here is person-centric, but there are a number of variables potentially influencing one's level of loneliness, such as geographic location.

To be honest, I have found that offering myself to support others and reaching out has been met with contempt. Like I was a single mother offering to help busy people looking after their kids and it was like I was the dregs of society, a poor person with nothing really to offer when I felt like I had something to give. It was a wake up call to my self inflated ego. One person who did accept my help ended up taking advantage of me. Also, I made a huge effort to call or at least reach out to friends via text to keep in connection after I physically left the area, but they chose not to and I had to cut ties with a couple of them so I wouldn't be constantly wondering if I'd hear from them again. Now, I'll try twice to reach out. If someone doesn't makes an effort or respond, I don't bother any more. I figure why waste my time engaging in a one way relationship. If others don't value connecting with me, I needn't make it my problem. I would much rather deal with lonliness and be with my animal friends than to engage in thinking about contradictions and inconsistencies of human behavior.

If people would get off their phones for a minute, maybe we could socially interact and cure loneliness.

I go to church to be with God. Peter was with God, not with another " person". If you go to church for coffee and the social part, then you are leaving out God. I love going to mass, because its not about a person talking at me. Its about focusing on Christ. Its ALL about Him and remembering what He gave, so that After mass I can give that love and joy to those in the world. Going to church isnt for socialization its For giving God honor and praise.
