I ran a regiment called the SOT(Special operations task force) Raiders and my two best heli pilots were a kid named Frog and a guy called Canadian Dimebag, we just called him Dimebag. Both could park a heli wherever you needed with any issues and could evade rickets like nobody's business

Mine was battlefield 4. I got pretty competent with the littlebird and Blackhawk helos in that one. I put in a lot of practice time on the armory island.

Last time I saw a pilot land a blackhawk like that they sheared the tail section from the aircraft and we had to guard it for three days while NTSB did their investigation.

About an hr of training, and setting adjustments. Flying the choppers are pretty easy in Squad. The games pretty epic, the zip,ping,crackle,whoosh of bullets going by your head is exhilarating.

Was playing Arma and man this dude was a Vietnam pilot I was playing with. Dodged 3 rockets from the ground up then passed under a bridge at what it felt like was mach 1 and successfully landed us on the ground while playing rock he was locked in

If that were arma, warthunder or dcs his helicopter would’ve not taken off again… not really a good landing, but the maneuver it’s self was good. He definitely took damage from that, but squads helicopters are pretty tanky. He should’ve increased throttle after the maneuver to avoid smashing into the ground like that…

I once knew a phenomenal heli pilot. Spent more than 4 years with him piloting in the middle east. Kudos to you, CPT G***e. Commonly pulled risky maneuvers, but always pulled it out clean.

I mostly play flight Sims, but I'll be coming over to Squad soon. It bothered be that 90% of the pilots suck ass. If you find a helo pilot on your server that doesn't crash every 10 seconds and puts you where you need to be, it'll probably be me

I’ve only been doing flying in most game so am more better than flying that shooting a real gun but I don’t feel like playing it cuz I can’t get my mic to work and it’s annoying so that’s why I don’t think I can really play cuz all I see is people talking and I can’t cuz of my mic not working for some reason

I'm a flight Sim guy too (and real world fixed wing pilot) and it's been fun getting into squad helis! Sometime people are surprised at just basic smooth and proficient flying and a pilot that doesn't crash every 10 mins haha!

If there is a map with helos, I immediately make an infantry squad that only uses helos for transport. We get there faster with supplies and can move position whenever, even under fire most times. The best part is the helo pilot loves it and finally gets to fly like they want. Full helo in the hear of battle.

i been flying helicopters in games since operation flashpoint, not sure what flying in squad is like but this is some good manoeuvring. Also i can confirm that most helli pilotes do listen to smoke on the water and love compliments. So please, if your pilot is skilled, don't forget to act impressed! give them some positive reinforcement! we get way to much flack for things out of our control.

On Arma 3 I'm pulling dyslexi style landings, evasion, in the case a stray bullet manages to hit something vital I can auto rotate down on a dime and save everyone. I tried flying a helicopter in Squad I can barley fly in a straight line. This is so impressive to me.

Reminds me of my old Battlefield days, I could do a "point rain landing" I would fly in with a belly full of playes, bob and weave through the rockets and flak and get those boys into thick of it and get back for the next load.
