I agree I commented so many times just wishing one of them would help him cuz you could tell he loved golf but just didn't have any help. Now they need to just get him to move the ball up in his stance it'll make him less steep and help him not have so much angle of attack.

Bubbie as a former baseball player, the best tip I’ve ever gotten to not go over the top and pull is to “hit to the second baseman”. That helped me keep the face through impact.

Just finished the four videos currently uploaded, and I noticed a theme that may not be intended; the videos seem to be more questioning the group about the subject, rather than Grant teaching it. I understand it's hard for Grant to teach some of this stuff to the group so this may change when he starts to teach different people. That being said this video was very informative and felt like it hit the mark for what GGL is striving to be. Now I have to go buy alignment sticks

100%, practicing with an alignment stick is key. It's easy to overlook the simple things that aid in improving your golf swing! I'll definitely have to keep in mind about the parallel placement because that's something I wasn't aware of, keep up the great videos!

Loved your video on grip. I've changed my iron grip from baseball to locked but I just can't change with the driver. After doing this I took off slice and immediately found myself subconsciously aiming right so this is perfect. Keep up the fantastic content.

I thought that vid was really helpful too! I was pulling the ball and noticed I had a pretty strong grip so I weakened it a bit and fixed my pull/hook!

Let me add something to this video because the aligning my feet parallel to target, there's a slightly easier way to do this. 1. Stand directly behind ball and find your target. Pick a spot in front of your ball maybe just 1-2ft thats on the same line from ball to target. 2. Step up to ball but don't set your feet. Set your club down and aim face at the mark in ground you picked out. 3. Align feet PARALLEL to your club face and that mark on the ground. You'll have 2 points to create a line (that mark and your ball) so aligning your feet will be easy. 4. Swing You can do this on the course and never need an alignment rod. But use a club or rod on range to keep yourself in check. It took my 2 decades go learn this. I basically did what Bubbie did all those years, aiming right and coming over the top. But like Bubbie, I just found out how to be good at it and was near scratch in school. But I had some wicked bad inconsistency that I know now was caused by bad alignment. I'd even use sticks on the range but I always aimed the stick AT the target, not just left of target (parallel to club face)

I have this exact issue right now. My Dad showed me how far left (lefty here) I'm aiming along with how far back my ball position has become 2 weeks ago and I need to fix it. Grant is right, you will naturally just keep correcting the wrong direction and will not notice. I can't hit a fade to save my life, just big old trap draws. It really shows itself with the longer irons and 3 wood. Thanks for the videos guys.

Another great one, Grant really is a natural at this. But one thing I would ask is for more Lefty golfer friendly language. As a lefty who's played for a while I can understand what is being taught but for a new golfer who's a lefty, it is hard to grasp. Maybe using 'open' and 'closed' instead of 'left' and 'right'.

Bubbie is a continual joy. I am sure...as we are all human...he can get to be a lot to take. Big personalities are...they are a lot of fun but also can be exhausting. Just hearing little things over videos, like "Bubbie doesn't even hit untill GG week," or exasperation from Garrett when Bubbie aske if he is lined up right the 3rd time. It's going to happen...already happened with the less chill Tig. But i bet every guy there knows Bubbie has their back, and some of their funnest moments are with him. It's beside the point, but when you present as they do, it gives way to wondering about house and off camera dynamics. Egos are real and will only get more real the more success they have. I just find Bubbie's "yeah, why not?" personality to be the best to watch for that...the others have their strengths. But Bubbie is like one of us thrown in there

Great series, truly helpful. You have a gift Grant. A future topic could be the transition phase. How golfers start their downswing. Lots of different practices out there. Some pulling arms down, others dropping the hands, yet others rotating the body as fast as possible. I think this aspect of the swing could prove helpful in improving our inconsistencies.

Best thing I did was to get a simple tripod for my phone camera, it shows you exactly what's happening in the swing, alignment, etc. Then I added an inexpensive wireless mic and now I can document every swing I take to match up the shot with the feel, thoughts, quality of shot, etc. Game changing!

Recently got a lesson from him and he showed me how to hit the ball off my back foot all the way up to my front , with my irons ! Blew my mind ! Lol Don't take that wrong . He also showed me where it "should" be with my wedges up to my 4 iron . It's helped me make better contact consistantly !

Also, this same parallel alignment works for putting. Put a stick down in front of you on the putt path and set up...if it doesn't look like it is pointing at the hole, open your stance until it does. It's partially the same concept (not as far off as you set up close to the ball putting) and part optical illusion/vision issue for some. It might just take changing your stance 2 inches open, and now the stick looks aligned.

How I fixed my alignment is by addressing the ball, then holding the grip in one hand and the hosel in the other parallel to the ground. Then I line up the shaft with my toes and see where the shaft is pointing. I do this on every shot now and dropped five strokes every round.
