Goodman Furnace Blower Motor Replacement

My Goodman Furnace blower was rumbling so I shopped for a replacement motor. There are so many choices and prices. You may have to google the customer # first to find the proper replacement number then go to Oozio.com with the superseded number. They have super fast shipping and an unbelievable price ($115). Do not rely on Amazon ($225-260), their prices are outrageous. Please read all the fine print before purchasing from other places. You might not get the proper motor. See link below. It is easy to replace if you have a few tools. I hope this video will help someone.

Came home today to this problem. Yours was the first video I came across. I don't think I am going to look for any more. We may even have the same model furnace! Fantastic job explaining. I am just trying to decide if I am brave enough to tackle this even though you made it look so easy.

Loctite? I don't think so. this is not a high strength / high stress application. it ain't gonna come outta there.

Thanks for the video. I have 2 Goodman furnaces that are in need of blower motor replacement. Before I saw this video, I was about to purchase a cross-referenced aftermarket (Packard brand )direct-fit motor from another supplyhouse but will buy the OEM motor from Oozzio for about the same price instead. My blower motors are 20 years old and have visible rust on the shaft, so I will buy the puller.

Thank you so much for showing how to remove the unit. I had a fragrance thing get sucked into the squirrel cage. With your steps, I was able to remove the blower and remove that hideous thing and get it all back together. I appreciate the time you gave to us for allowing us to not have to spend a couple grand to have this fixed. Thank You!

My AC guy charges $2300 to change this motor. I'd better know how to do it myself.

I have a B0 alert, which part is the circulator blower motor and which part is the inductor?

Hello, This is wonderful information. I'm ready to order and replace a new motor for my Goodman unit, but I'm not sure the motor is my only issue. The motor runs quiet, but cycles up and down instead of running continuously. I was told by one AC company that the motor was reaching high amps and cutting off, then another estimator said there is a module that receives a signal from the circuit board that needs to be replaced that is only sold with the motor. I'm getting conflicting stories. Do you know what module he is referring to? Is it integrated into the motor?

You did a great job explaining and showing how to do that. The lighting could’ve been a bit brighter. But other then that, awesome job.

Timely video. Mine has started rumbling at the end of cycles sometimes and I figured it was likely a motor bearing or something loose that I could just tighten up. Looks like I’ll be ordering one of these replacement motors.
