@@codyfunk8072 do you have a volt meter? Hook up to pin 12 and check so you don’t waste money and time. Unplug one sensor at a time until you get the 12volts back finding the bad sensor. Well I ordered a belt for my mower. Got a genuine cub cadet belt too. Hopefully I can figure out how to install it. The big question is will a impact screw gun be enough for the PTO bolt or do I need an air impact because I don't own one. Had to use a breaker bar and 6 foot pipe to get the blades off to change.

Could be a few things. Most likely the pull chain, fwd/rev switch. Check for burnt wires or bad connections. Check in the ceiling box for the connection to the fan. Should be a blue and black wire.

Do you want to drain all the oil? Or just wait for some to come out to ensure it’s made it way through the cable and put it back together?
@fixthemthings
@fixthemthings 17 күн бұрын
It’s just a temporary fix to get you going another couple years. I have replaced the cables about 2 years after this video. The new cables are well worth it. $80 each. Doesn’t matter on the oil. The plastic retainer on your cable will eventually break anyways.

Will a bad gasket cause loss of prime? I unfortunately was switching between modes while the pump was running a few times and now i keep losing prime.
@fixthemthings
@fixthemthings 27 күн бұрын
You shouldn’t switch while the pump is running that will roll the gasket. If your pump won’t prime it is usually a leak on the suction side. Hopefully you are filling the basket with water before turning on.

what do i do when the motor gets power intermittently? sometimes when i turn the handle the motor works, sometimes it does not. Even when the motor works though its significantly less propulsion that it used to have, and a bit nosier too. Thanks!
@fixthemthings
@fixthemthings 29 күн бұрын
Where are you measuring the voltage to the motor? Are you saying the voltage sometimes drops going to the motor or the motor is just stopping. If the motor is just stopping with voltage going to it, then brushes are bad. If you keep losing voltage then it will be the handle switch.

I absolutlyvare unable to relove the spider gasket, despite using a hairdryer and a little bit of alcohol. I already purchased the top handle spring and stem assembly, and a new spider gasket and adhesive for my old SPX0710X32 that had leaking water from the waste line. Now I , cannot proceed as my gasket is very strongly glued down. Hair dyer, and scraping ineffective. What to do?
@fixthemthings
@fixthemthings Ай бұрын
It is a pain to get off. You will have to use a small screw driver to get underneath the gasket and tear it out. You can buy the plastic piece with the gasket already installed. It doesn’t cost too much more and it would be less trouble.

Thank you so much. Question… if i call HWAC to come out and they diagnose the need for new blower and capacitor; should i replace or just replace the whole system which was put in 2008. Also, i know they run at various prices, but what is a high price and best price. I appreciate you! 👍
@fixthemthings

Well. I don’t do HVAC for a living but the indoor units will last a long time if properly maintained. The outside units are the ones that usually get replaced along with the coil. There is not much to the inside unit. Usually a relay burns on the board or capacitor blows out but I would say most of the time it will be worn bearings on the motor. Turn the unit off and reach in there and try to pick up and down on the squirrel cage blower. If it moves a lot replace the motor. I’m a DIY guy so I hardly ever call anyone.
