@@808.sfx_ I like Fridays. The weekend is so busy. It's easy to get tickets. I paid £128 for admission which includes a grandstand pass which gives you covered seating access for all grandstands. You also get an earpiece with commentary. Definitely try and go. It's full of utter petrolheads and you'll have great conversations with strangers all day. I arrive about 8am with relatively low traffic and I live 2 hours away from Goodwood.

Funny you say that because as i watched there was a bit of disappointment when an EV whirs by. It doesn't have the same soul as combustion engines do with the diff pitches, tambre and growls all based engine layout with diff angle Vs, inlines the cylinder count and cranks. I appreciate the engineering of EVs but will miss the glorious sounds of an ICE.

ikr, it does 0-60 in 1.5 seconds and holds the goodwood fos fastest timed run up the hill, saw it live and its blindingly fast its insane. On the runs it did they put a camera inside the car to display the face of the driver and he looks like he's shitting it the whole way up its that fast 😂😂

The Valkyrie isn't a road engine either, it's an F1/LMP based engine that's been adapted for the road.

@@F1ll1nTh3Blanks it's road engine don't make up stuff, it's made from ground up to be in Valkyrie they even made 3 cyllinders intially during development to test it, it contains some parts resembles from F1 or uses F1 tech but that doesn't make it based on F1 like AMG One which uses actual F1 engine converted for road car

@@TRX25EX No it flat out isn't, so what if it was developed from the ground up, it's still built with full racing components, you can literally lift the engine and without modification put it into a race car and it will perform like one. It was built for the track and then modified to be compliant. It's mated to a racing gearbox and it needs a hybrid motor strapped to it to help make it compliant. The engine won't idle at low rpm like a road car for long periods so the hybrid motors literally power the car for most of the time it's spent running at low speeds. So what about this is a road engine again. I don't know many road engines that need to be rebuilt every 100k do you?
