I love how Rob as the senior Googan makes LOJO get in the tank! I kept reef tanks for 15 years and I used to freshwater dip corals for parasites. Funny how freshwater fish they saltwater dip. Love you guys! God Bless!

It’s not the dorsal they remove on the stocked steelhead it’s the adipose fin that’s between the dorsal fin and tail.

The fin that the fish hatchery clips, up here in Washington, is the adipose fin. Behind dorsal, in front of tail. 🫡

The salmon River hatchery in New York is awesome place to go and learn. There's also another hatchery in the area. It's just off oneida lake that does walleye. And it's amazing the amount of fish that go up a tiny tributary to spawn. I love taking the kids to watch and learn..

Here in WA they clip Adipose fins of salmon and steelhead that are hatchery planted. It’s the small fin right above the tail.

Haven’t watched a Googan video in years, but this is something all fishermen im sure are interested in, good idea to show this content. A lil advice from us OG old head viewers, slower talking and slow the pace of the videos. We don’t all have adhd/add here

First thing... Hatchery salmon and steelhead usually have their adipose fins clipped here in the PNW. Also a hatchery trout is not the same as a steelhead just because it goes to the ocean... Yes it is classed as an ocean going rainbow trout but not just any trout will do so. It's all about genetics. I also agree with others that sadly the "googan squad" is nothing now like it used to be. I hardly ever watch a vid from them anymore and actually have no idea why I'm still subscribed... Getting people to buy your baits with proof of purchase just to enter a bs "contest" screems of desperation. Who ever is actually running the whole mess over at headquarters now days is really and truly out of touch with what their customers and subscribers really want. Just my $.02 worth not that anyone asked :)
