I have a Pixel 6 but am thinking about returning it and getting an S21 for this reason.

@@JHSaxa UPS comes to my place to pick up the Pixel 6 tomorrow. I'm returning that crap.... It just didn't compare with my S21 lol. It's a nice phone for someone who wants something that works, but you get waaay more features with the S21... Even object eraser, which was a Galaxy S21 feature before Google stole it lol

@@reilly1491 If you want good hardware and extra features, go with the S21. If you want software that looks pretty and it does all that fancy AI stuff, go with the 6 Pro. I personally would go with the S21 bc of the extra features I need, like syncing the Gallery with OneDrive.

@@npaul5962 Tensor is it's own thing created by Google themselves. Exynos is created by Samsung. Snapdragon is created by Qualcomm.

@@Young_Dab Yes and no. Tensor is a Google product, but the chip was manufactured by Samsung and It was designed by Google AND Samsung. Technically, it’s nearly identical to Exynos 2100. However, it has adjustments to ISPs, and Core layouts, and graphics. Tensor also has a model number in the Exynos family, right alongside the Exynos 2100. It isn’t a fully custom design like Apple’s A or M series

@@haxorinator8219 thank you!! Someone that knows his stuff. It is a rebadged exynos chip. Magic eraser isn't "tensor powered", Samsung has been doing that shit for years. The text to speech is simply because google has been collecting our damn data and speech for ages!

why have manufacturers forgotten about reasonable sizes and WEIGHT. The s21 is the maximum size and weight a phone should have anything beyond that should be considered XXL phone and be its own category. I prefer the s21 for those reasons. The pixel 6 and 7 are bulky peaces of garbage.

Software update is 3 years both of them with 4 years security update on pixel and 5 years on samsung

3 years software, 5 years security for pixel. But I also think its more likely google give an extra software update or two over samsung

it was because of all those reviewers who kept looking down at manufacturers with plastic back phones. now most of them have reverted back after seeing how bad glass back phones are .

I have the pixel 6 and I love it. Not bashing any phones but I think the s21 is similar to the iPhone 12. It's got too much contrast and is oversaturated. Pixel 6 is realistic. I'm talking photo wise

I noticed the vividness difference between the Pixel 6 and the Pro today in the store. That's my biggest complaint from doing the research, but I'll probably end up going with the Pixel 6 over a S21 mainly due to the price.

The bezels are very small. If $200 more for S21 is worth it for such a trivial difference on bezels, go for it. I'm using the Pixel 6 as a secondary device. I want to try out the Pixel line for the first time. I want in on the first year of the "smartest" phones ! I think the Pixels will be in position, in a few years after some trial and error, improvements in their Tensor chip & improvements in hardware, to finally be the Android phone that will truly give Apple a run for the title. I think the Pixel Pro's will be the iPhone Pro Max's of the Android market 🥰. It's all possible because of Google's new Tensor chip. Now Google has everything in house just like Apple. It is going to be interesting in the smartphone world now, especially in the U.S. market. I also love my primary phone, the Samsung S21 Ultra, as Samsung definitely puts out amazing Ultra flagships! If going for an S21 this year, if you can afford it, you should definitely go big and go for the Ultra! It's worth it.

@@stacyanderson1593 Galaxy Ultra phones is too big and bulky, if you have big hands and long fingers than it's perfect for you but my hands are normal size maybe closer to the small size so I prefer the regular S21, easy to put in my pocket and no hand fatigue when binge watching videos or movies on my phone.

Update is already available, stable update. Barely one month after google's official release. Far as I can tell, its more stable than the pixels.

I have an s10 I use for work and it's still a great phone. I don't see the Pixel 6 as an upgrade really worth the money as even the display om the s10 is higher res and has better color. Pixel 6 pro might be worth the upgrade but for me I think I'll still with s10 until Pixel 7

we are past that point. If you own any smartphone you have basically given away rights to your microphone, photos, search history and more. Pixel 6 however actually lets you turn off your mic and camera completely. Denying apps from accessing them

Apple seems to give more privacy than Android but if you're using Samsung that's running on Android software and Google gets the same access to your data.

I would say there pretty even. The thing with google is the software is remarkably good. Things you cannot really see until you try them. For example the magic eraser for photos is incredible and the speech to text is crazy accurate. To the point I dont even type on my phone anymore. Never thought that would happen. Pixel 6 changed the way I use my smartphone

Also I hear every phone is going to have the same feature. So it won't be as exclusive as you may think.

@@Ruddy_Games you know Samsung has had "magic eraser" for ages right? Google advertised it as AI tensor powered, like it was the only phone that could do it. In reality, tensor is just another exynos chipset made even more apparent by how it throttles under heavy load. As for the speech to text, well google has been gathering data and speech for years, so while it's a great feature, it's not "AI enabled". It's marketing guys, just good old fashioned marketing!

@@Moneyexplained.1 Off the top of my head... the curved screen is terrible. I can't even tell you how many times the screen has caused me frustration. If I am watching something on my phone, as I often do in bed, the very slightest of movements by my hand that's holding the phone can be detected as a swipe, either pausing or minimizing the movie. This happens with games as well. It's a constant issue. Also, the face detection is crap compared to the pixel I had before. So many times I am holding the phone directly against my face while I'm talking to someone, and then suddenly they start saying my name and that they can't hear me. It turns out, the screen turned on and my face hit the mute button. Seriously, this happens very often. Almost every phone call... and sometimes multiple times per call. Very irritating. One thing I took for granted from my Pixel was the ability to control data usage on an app by app basis. So for example, I don't want KZfaq to use all my data if I end up dropping my WiFi connection, but I still want other apps to be able to use data regardless. No problem with the Pixel. Not so with this phone. You can't control which apps are allowed to use data when roaming. For me that's a problem because I don't have unlimited data, and THIS PHONE has dropped my WiFi connection WHILE I WAS HOME, causing KZfaq to use a huge amount of data unexpectedly. One last thing just off the top, I don't know if mine is defective or what, but this phone many times doesn't work on a phone call unless I reset the phone. I will call someone, I can hear them talking, but they can't hear me talking. The phone is not on mute, there's nothing wrong I can see, but they hear nothing from my end. I have to restart the phone for them to hear me. This happens randomly and unexpectedly. There are more reasons... but I think you get the point. I just don't like this phone at all. I've only had it 6 months but it's been nothing but problems.
