Honestly the Pixel 7 series was the phone I hoped the Pixel 6 became. A bit polished and got all the features I wished on the Pixel 6 have. I'd go for the Pixel 7 Pro because it's a best all rounder and definitely for that zoom. That's my vote.

I wish the regular 7 had the telephoto camera.

My phone is an MP3/MP4 player with occasional browsing/shopping and occasional texting and calling. The P7 is all I need. The P7 pro is more like a premium version of the P7. I love my P7 and it gets me through the day just fine.

I have the 7pro because I'm a tech enthusiast but for the common civilian lol ...I usually recommend the P7 or even the 6a!

I got the P7P with the 256 Gb of storage upgrade for a total of $700, bought directly from the Google store along with changing carriers to Google Fi. The phone's and network's performance have been stellar.

Running into this channel again was so nostalgic, I used to watch their videos all the time back in 2015ish, haven't seen a single video from them in several years

I'm sure I'm in the minority... but I actually think from a usability standpoint, having a screen with a subtle curve is nicer to use with Android's back gestures. I used to be Team Flat Screen all the way when the curves were more extreme and palm rejection was terrible. But I've come around, and I actually think the curve on the Pixel 7 Pro screen is perfect.

Pixel 7 - easier recommendation for the mass Pixel 7 Pro - for those who need a more complete camera package

I just picked up a Pixel 7 via upgrade. Came from an old LG Stylo 6. I am having to readjust going to a smaller screen, but Andriod 13 compared to Android 10 on my old phone is night and day, plus the Tensor is leagues faster then the MediaTek in my Stylo 6. Worth the upgrade and extra money. I wanted the 7 pro, but it was alittle out of my budget. I am enjoying Google branded phones. I had the OG Google G1 so for me I guess I have come home to my roots. I recommend the Pixel 7.

Having been a android guy for so many years I tried an iPhone 13pro and used this phone for just under a year. And yes the iPhone was a fantastic phone and video quality is totally unrivalled but since moving on to the new pixel 7 pro I certainly won't be looking back. It does everything I want it to do and more. As for photos it's unbelievable. I don't tend to use the video much but even that is a pleasure to use when needed, maybe not just yet up to iPhone standards but certainly getting there. I'm more than happy with this purchase. I think android once again has won me back 🥳

Had the Pixel 7 Pro for less than 24 hours. Screens with curved edges are not for me. In addition to distortion of pictures/photos and videos at the edges, in many situations, a line of light reflects along the edge and is not only distracting, it obscures the picture/video there. Returned the phone. I learned I cannot live with a phone with curved edges. Many people agree. Give me a Pixel 7 Pro with a flat screen or a Pixel 7 with the camera's of the Pro.

As an iPhone user I’m wondering will my texts transfer or will I be stuck in “iMessage purgatory”, what buttons are there, how do I get to the Home Screen, can I quickly silence calls, are there lots of annoying options to manage, what is the backup situation, is there something like find my iPhone, is there something like FaceTime?

I just got the pixel 7 last week on a deal with T-Mobile for 99 bucks. After a week I wish I had the money to get the pro but you know poor people problems lol. But I do love the pixel phone.

I listened to everything on the Pixel 7, since it was within my budget. But the lack of Macro killed me, I stopped there, as I love the Macro on my OnePlus 9 currently.

I wish they'd keep the pro's screen flat like the regular 7.

Rather than Pixel 7, the 6a might be a better bang for the buck

Have you read the stuff about the back camera glass shattering for no reason on the Pixel 7 phones (both phones). Google not yet accepting there is a problem, not wanting to do warranty work. I was going to pull the trigger on a 7 pro until I read about this problem!

Here is my experience with my pixel 7 pro. i wish i never replaced my S22 Ultra. my pixel has these weird 2 bugs which makes me restart my phone at least twice a day, bug 1: freeze my recent app menu the recent app menu becomes a blank with basically ghost apps. bug 2: when I try to exit from an app the app freezes for 2 seconds then take me back to my home screen. for me i can handle these bugs in exchange for a pixel experience, but no there's a bigger problem, signal problems. The most basic thing a phone can do is receive calls and use mobile data reliably, while using mobile data an Exclamation mark! shows over the signal icon (which indicates no data transfer) and to fix that i have to go to settings > network & internet > internet > fix connectivity. If this signal problem happens once a day it won't be a problem with me but i face this shit least twice every f* hour. I don't why Google is struggling with basic things. What makes me so frustrated is that i bought this phone for about 1400 USD because it's not available in my region, the last google phone i had was the nexus 6p and it was such a great photo but this shit now is worthless. i guess it will be my last google phone

Ordered the 7 over the pro $200 (CDN)less today then yesterday plus the camera features aren't really that important to me . I basically use it as a phone only , do like to listen to music while at the gym or walking .

I own a 7 for about 3 months now it's amazing but battery life and charging is eh my 300,$ OnePlus phone has 5k battery and 33w charging might wait to upgrade to a pixel 8!

Bigger isn't Better in my book I've had Pixel since 3 or 4 and I've never chosen the Pro for what I do the 7 is more than enough.

There's little point offering 7 years of support for your product, if you're going to wreck it's non replaceable battery by pushing it's charging specifications to the limit. I suspect this is why Google has kept the charging specs of it's phones fairly modest. Personally, as someone who uses a lot of rechargeable batteries of various chemistries, I approve of Google's approach to this issue.

Pixel 6a is most underrated device of 2022

The pixel is great to have upto 30x and clarity of pic compared to iphone who never go beyond 3x even still 14

I am 1 out of 4 P7P users in my family that remain devout. Others have either replaced it because of bugs or just tolerates the device. All I truly want is a simple phone that does voice dictation remarkably and takes great photos.

Pixel 7 pro for me. The pixel 7 regular is missing some features. (Ones that I care about) such as the telephoto lens 120Hz refresh rate screen 6.7 inch screen. 12 GB of RAM. Little features that I like this want in the smartphone along with what already comes with the regular pixel 7.

I found a pretty much new pixel 7 pro for 600$ so didn't need to choose due to price lol

The peak brightness on these displays is a claimed 1400-1500 nits . But in general use the displays are still a tad dim for my liking. I took a look at them in the store and had a play with them . I went to the brightness slider to pump up that screen to see it in it's full glory and the slider was already at max🥴 with OLED displays my eyes require a certain amount of brightness, otherwise phone displays appear dim and washed out to me .

I decided to go with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 instead. No regrets.

The 7 Pro has scrolling that feels sticky and non-inertial. It takes more effort than should be needed to scroll through a list or scrolling website/app. It's different from other phones I've used and other Pixels in particular. I've tried turning off smooth display, forcing max refresh, changing haptic sensitivity, rebooting, etc, but nothing helps. I'm really hoping Google will address this with a software update because it's the only thing I don't like about the phone, and it may be a dealbreaker for me.

Is it worth buying in 2024 ?

Option C: wait a year and buy a pixel 7 renewed on Amazon for $190, then do the same in 2-3 years with the pixel 9/10 and effectively get 2-3 'new' phone upgrades for less than the cost of one new phone.

Sorry but mostly unnecessary video. Just look at the specs comparison of two phones and that will be enough. I'd like to watch video with personal impressions, not this refined list of specs. As an example, another video I watched just before this one, said that previous year phones had almost no difference in cameras between 6 and 6pro except for telephoto. This video just says the dry facts, nothing new. Please, create things that will make your channel unique, not average.

literally neither, outdated hardware, all nice and dandy with computational photography but every day use is hit and miss and more demanding games at higher settings are a no go, google pixel is the iphone of the android side, might as well get an iphone then, otherwise go with the actual best phone, which obviously of course is samsungs
