Mark Knopfler is on my Mt Rushmore of musical artists. Dire Straits is one of my most loved bands. Brothers in Arms, is my very favorite of their songs. I didn't think it was possible to create a version, that would come near theirs. I was wrong ❤️

Home Free being acapella has to use their voices as there are no instruments...they do this masterfully & reverently. A true Home Free classic

The song is a masterpiece of Home Free. The fantastic harmonies, on point. And then the voices of Tim and Chance, phenomenal. But Tim's super low tones make for an absolutely perfect goosebump feeling, what a voice - wow ! Great reaction!

This is probably my favourite Dire Straits song, because of its lyrics, its message, and the haunting guitar of Knopfler. Like you, I'm not gonna make comparisons here or choose which is best. They're both different and both fantastic. This Home Free version feels like a prayer, it's like being at a church service... And you're listening to an emotional, heart-wrenching, dark sermon you maybe did not really want to hear, but it is one you needed to hear.

What a great version and I love Home Free. So may wonderful songs.

The Finnish a capella group Club For Five did the a capella arrangement. Tim of Home Free added the echoes. Yes, quite haunting. A good song to reflect on this Veterans Day/ Remembrance Day. Good, respectful reaction.

Yes, this version of Home Free will send shivers through your entire body! This is so emotional. Beautifully sung by Tim and Chance, but the background and harmony of Adam, Rob and Austin is also so amazing. It looks like a choir or actually a kind of church organ sounds. And the whole setting of the video is just amazing. Simple but with so many details that makes it so profound

This is so haunting. This arrangement was created by the Danish group Club for Five. Their version is also haunting, although quite different from this one. Definitely worth a listen.

I was in the United States Marine Corps and the most touching part of those lyrics was, ”you did not desert me my brothers in arms.”

These guys are singing as dead soldiers mourning their death. Tim is portraying a man's Spirit about to leave the earth. It's like a dirge to honor the dead.

Just a perfect song for today. To make us go back in time to try to understand the actual feelings and that powerful link of their brotherhood. Home Free does this beautifully. Yes, not gonna make comparisons as others have said. It's all good to honor the veterans around the world. I do miss Knopflers guitar work but I had never heard this version before so thank you Harri for a beautiful tribute to our planets veterans who have sacrificed so much.

Home Free always pays appropriate respect in their covers--especially to the content! Their talent is amazing--and I LOVE their glorious 5-part harmony❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️ Such a genius touch to show the silhouette of the fellas in front of the window. I know some see it as a "ghost"y reference but it strikes me as a reflection of the POW/MIA flag. We'll never know just how many of those met the same fate as the soldier of this song. 😥

Each time I think I know the talents of this band they surprise me again! As regards war I view it as an antiquated and often short-lived effort to assert dominance.

Home Free they are my favorite group. They could sing the ABC or Twinkle Twinkle little star and make it sound wonderful. The song was beautiful and the scenery made me cry. If you ever have a chance to go to one of their shows GO. I did, as a gift to myself for my Birthday. So wonderful I kept reliving it and couldn't sleep, but I would do it all again.

Lok at the way the light passes through the singers and filtered light makes them look almost ghostly. I have heard it said that these are the words of a fallen soldier. I sense it is not. The horror of war has little changed for centuries. This is not the voice of a fallen, it is the voice of all nations' fallen over the centuries questioning the need for war

I have always loved this song by Dire Straits but think Home Free did an excellent version of this song. Tim's natural breathy bass was awesome along with Chance's smooth baritone & loved it when all the guys were doing 5 part harmonies. Who would believe humming could sound so good. They gave it a very solemn feeling. These guys are my favorite a cappella group out there.
