Two of my friends and I went crabbing at Netarts Bay, Oregon. This video is both interesting and educational.

Fisherman pulls trap toward surface. Crab: The G forces are incredible Crab 2: Yes, we could obtain escape velocity! Crab 3: I read about this in the latest Exoskeletonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!! Crabs exit liquid atmosphere.

My total focus of this video became watching to see if "Little Hercules" trapped under the trap, was gonna lift it off him, and he did!

Not sure what is cooler - the sea lion going after the trap or the fact that one crab could actually pick the trap up on its back when it was pinned.

@@natattackkk8659 Yeah, typically have to add weight to them or else they drift quite easily. I usually zip tie a brick inside mine, LOL...

Sea lions like fish, use only chicken and won’t have the problems.

Lost a lot of the big ones bc of the seal tipping the net over.

That's why Funnel type entrances (like the kind in Crab Pots on the east coast) would have been more effective; they have no moving parts so that a there's no gate to swing open even if the pot was turned upside down.
