Seven years later: Yesterday, Jackson won his junior downhill race in Andorra with a time that beat every Elite rider's time as well. It would be so great if seven years from now we can look back again and say he continued to meet and then exceed expectations.

Parents who buy into their kids passions enough to take it up as a hobby themselves are the best. Some of my favourite moments of my childhood are related to time spent with my parents doing things we all enjoyed and were all good at.

Got to love it. Great way to spend your childhood days. I think what made me smile the most was him singing "I believe I can fly" as he was riding along. My 7-year-old does exactly the same ! Kudos to the dad for being awesome too. It just goes to show that there's no need to be pushy and demanding of kids if you can find something they enjoy and support them in it. No matter whether Jackson goes on to a career as a pro rider, or loses interest when he's a teen and walks away from it, he'll have grown up with some great experiences and bonds with his dad.

More kids these days need to be brought up on outdoor activities and not sat in front of a TV watching reality tv shit

Damn man that's so cool to see! I'm still new to MTB and I got a foot of air over a little roller jump yesterday and was pretty happy about it. I'm 36 with a major back injury under my belt so I am learning slowly. It's so cool seeing a 10 year old shredding like this and man...those are some dad goals right there. That dad is having the time of his life riding with his kid.

That kid is gonna go far, no doubt in a few years we'll see him doing big competitions.

Why can more Parents be like this kids parents?

Man i wish my daughter took to biking like this kid. This was me as a kid. My whole life was 2 wheels... bmx .. mountainbikes ... and motocross. Now im a 42yr old logging truck driver. Love it because im on dirt crazy roads hauling ass at 65 000 kg. After work each day i like to dirtjump with the 5 yr old next door lol.
