Hey Jordan I have the hero 8 black. When you select video clips for the app to create an auto edit is there a way to lengthen the snippets that it chooses to include? For instance I am working with RC car clips and it will transition before the rc car has finished the jump which is rather anticlimatic. Each snippet seems to be about 4 seconds long. If I could change that to like 7 to 10 seconds or work with each snippet individually that would work.

Great vid, quick question. Can you create videos longer than 60 seconds on the go pro app? I have read that the Quik desktop app limits video creations to 60 seconds. Thanks!!

Really enjoying your tutorials! Do you have one specific to transfer video from the app to the cloud. Mine seem to be stuck in app mode and I no longer have them on the GoPro.

Thanks for the information. If give Mural access to my iPhone library, and edit some things from that in Mural, do I end up duplicating libraries and effectively doubling the storage I use because things will now be stored in two places? Also, I have been having my GoPro 10 automatically upload to the cloud, but I see some video files that are both on the cloud and the phone - is there a way to store them just in one place without having to go back to the camera and deleting from there - i.e. make could storage the default so my SD card in the GoPro stays relatively empty?

Thank you for your video. learnt alot and have subscribed. i have a question about the Auto Highlight Videos and Edited Videos. After editing a video on the mobile Quik App in Android, the edited video appears in "Studio - My Edits". Does the Edited video then gets uploaded to GoPro Cloud (I am a GoPro subscriber). Same question for the Auto-highlight videos - does it get saved to the GoPro Cloud? If not how can i save edited videos and auto-highlight videos to the GoPro Cloud? Many Thanks

Hi Jordan, thank you very much for all your excellent videos! I have some questions…can we upload our photos and videos that we’ve edited in Quik to Facebook? Will videos that we’ve changed speeds or did special events in the Quik app look the same in Facebook and KZfaq as they do within the app and on our saved gallery? Thx! I can Venmo you if you cannot explain in your reply. Can I use my iPad similarly in the same way as an iPhone? Is the Quik subscription good for one device? How can I lock the preview screen in Quik? I want to use my iPad to monitor in portrait mode. Locking the screen (while in the Quick app or prior to launching Quick) it locks in landscape. When in Quick and in portrait mode, the screen will go black and reset to landscape. I only use Quik for controlling the camera. Any recommendations for other apps that will achieve what I am after?

I started up the GoPro Quik App for my GoPro Hero 10 with my iPhone Airplane Mode turned "ON" and received the following pop up; "Turn off airplane mode or use wifi to access data" Does that mean that I will have to use my cellular data in order to leave Airplane Mode on? Question….I just bought the 10 for 5k. Did a bunch of dives and video in 5k. When i exported it would only allow me to export in 4K. I think it is because i transferred to phone first instead of natively in app. Is there a way I can edit in app and export to 5K or do i need different software?

hey Jordan, I love your videos on "how to". I have a GoPro 10 and recently had an issure on my Android getting all of my memory used up. I finally discovered it was the Quik app after uninstalling all the other apps. Is there a way to use the Quik app without it maxing out all of my phone memory ? Very frustrated as I love the camera and would love to edit from my phone but I'm a beginner. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hi, I encountered the same issue. One way to solve this is to keep all your video's in the GoPro cloud and only download the ones you want to edit at the moment.

Thanks for the informative video, I liked it to the most. I have Gopro subscription and when I do editing, am not getting the option of 2x, 4x, 6x, 8x options on speed. I tried to buy quik subscription as well for more editing options with same email I'd I used with GoPro subscription, but unsuccessful. App says, this email I'd is already registered. Hey Jordan, I'm trying to figure out how to live stream with my Hero 10 at 1080p - It seems to only want to use 360p and this is using my home wifi. My Hero 8 will live stream at 1080p all day long. Just wondering if you have any tips?

Hey, That is really strange because it doesn't even give me a 360p option. On the Quik App on my phone, it gives me the option to live stream all the way up to 1080p for the Hero 10. I wish I could take a look at your phone to see if I could figure out what's happening.

Thanks for this video. I do have one basic question. I have a GoPro subscription. When I click the Media tab in Quik, I see App, Cloud, and Phone across the top. I select App and choose one video. I want to upload that one video to the GoPro cloud, but there's no option for that. What's going on? I had my iPad set to upload everything to the cloud, but I quickly turned that off. I just want to upload specific media after I've edited them, but there seems to be no direct way to do this.

Not sure if you figured out what is going on but I think you have it backwards. When you connect your camera, you should upload to the cloud. From there, you can download specific files to your app and from the app, move files to the mural to make your edits and then when finished, upload to wherever you are sharing. That’s how I create my KZfaq shorts. Once I’ve uploaded to KZfaq, I delete the files from the app since they are still backed up on the cloud. I have to do it this way because I use an iPhone 7 with 32mb of storage and a second Gen iPad Pro 12.9 with only 64mb. So I’m constantly running out of space when downloading back and forth. I recently purchased a 1tb USB that connects to both Apple devices and that helps a lot when offloading stuff for later use.

Tell me if or how I can upload my custom music onto my edits from my the Quik editing program on the phone. I have paid for the full subscrition. At the end of the music selection, gopro gives you an option for custom music. After opening it, it just says search and will not allow for me to upload any music from a mp3 player or file. Is this an improvement that GoPro needs improvement on? This would be great if able to do so.

i got my gopro 10 a week or 2 ago and was using quick app on desktop and got signed up and in and when i plugged my camera in usb to my pc the app showed a blank image and name connecting when it should show a picture of gopro 10 and name. i couldnt see any videos or select gopro or import. on the iphone quick app it seem to work and show footage and upload. couple days later i try and see my footage on the quick app on desktop and it asked me to sign in and i am still at the start waiting many minutes with it saying at the top of my email AUTHENTICATING. what can be the problem now since i havent used it? please bro i just so wanna see my footage with a bigger screen then edit.

hey man, I got a video clip of 15 seconds from my GoPro which I just want to adjust the aspect ratio of to 9:16. How can I do this? There are no export settings unless you go to the studio tab and there I can only use 6 seconds of my clip..?

I have issue with my new GoPro 10 . My previous cam was GoPro session 5 and i had Samsung Evo 256sd card the best reccomended sd card for GoPro cam. The problem with new gopro 10 is that when I connect cam to PC quick app GoPro don't see any media on that sd card and shows 0 and doesn't want to download my files to GoPro quick app. I never had this issue with same sd card in my session 5 cam. So now in order to transfer files from sd card to pc is I have to use usb sd card reader which is annoying. Do you know what might be the issue here and why GoPro quick doesn't recognize this sd card in GoPro 10?

I’m a subscribed quick user with a hero 10- making sailing videos . I use the quick app to import clips to my app media and then make an edit . I can enable the stickers and the vids show the stickers are present. When I move them to an edit they are gone! I have a workaround of downloading the sticker enabled vids to my phone then upload again, but it takes forever and is difficult to track. Any suggestions from the community?

something i don't get, @9:05 seconds, you mention upload any footage from other camerasto the cloud, i tried that, and kept getting "The media you're uploading already exists in your media library" come to find out it was only allowing 1 MOV file to be uploaded and the rest it considered duplicate. i could not find a workaround on that.

Hi Jordan! and @GoPro. I have been uploading thru web using "Add Media" says videos were uploaded but I cannot see them in my media list. I refreshed the page, logged-in and logged out and still not showing. I also tried checking thru my Quik App thru phone and Quik App for windows, still not there. Plus, the Quik app for windows keeps logging me out from my account every time I click anywhere to navigate thru the app. What's wrong? I just feel like my subscription is useless as I cannot really organize my videos thru it. Sorry I am just frustrated at this point.

Yes, you can add multiple photos and videos together to one edit. For longer edits though, you might want to go use another app like CapCut.

i'm just getting started with the quik app. one thing i don't see immediately is how to transfer files from the gopro to my tablet and then to my pc for editing. i don't want to edit on my tablet and prefer to move things onto the pc. but as far as i can see so far it's easier to just skip quik and drop the files onto my pc to start with. am i wrong?

Do you know anything about the subscription issues on iphone? I subscribed but the app shows as if I didn’t purchase the subscription. When I go into my subscriptions in my iphone settings, it shows the gopro quik subscription. Neither gopro nor apple can figure it out.

The new app doesn’t display my motion photos (iPhone) like it used to. They are now all “still”. Has that been taken away now?

Hi Jordan - Quik question (yes, pun intended, sue me): I have the full GoPro Plus subscription back when i got my GoPro7 Black, primarily for the unlimited full-res cloud backups, as well as the full Quik app. I haven't been using the GoPro much over the last few years (hello pandemic, I'm looking at you), but am now picking it back up. So I was a bit surprised to see that the unlimited cloud storage is now also available with just a Quik sub, which costs far less than the full GoPro sub. In your opinion, what 's the benefit of maintaining the full GoPro sub vs just subscribing to Quik?

Full Gopro subscription gives you much more benefits e.g. Guaranteed Camera Replacement and discount for new camera and accessories.

you forgot the main function, the monitor function meanwhile u are recording 4K to 30 fps. and I want to know if it is possible for 4k 60 fps too ( monitor when recording )

I believe that once you grab frames from a video, it loses the GPS data.

Thanks, Jordan. Great video. There are 2 problems using Quik app on my Hero 8. The app won't give me live view, and it also won't connect to allow transferring files wirelessly. Is there any solution for that?

Hi Sunny, A lot of times if the WiFi won't connect it's because another WiFi connection (your home, car, etc.) keeps overriding the camera's WiFi. Usually it's one that is set to AutoJoin the network. Check that first on your WiFi settings in your phone. Once you correct that and have a consistent connection, hopefully, the Live View will also work. I hope that helps!

I bought my GoPro 10 few months ago along with the subscription. I use My Edit to edit videos. I upload on insta as well as KZfaq. Today I updated a video on Instagram and there’s a claim on the soundtrack. There are two options. Remove video or appeal. Should I go for appeal? Do I have the rights on Quik app music?
