В бывшей Югославии не было и нет единой культуры. Там много разных культурных традиций. Это как говорить о "кавказской культуре". Да и сам Горан Брегович с оркестром исполняет часто не свои песни, а оранжировки известных муз произведений.

Last year Bregovic gave his support to Vučić who was Milosevic's minister of propaganda during war and who used to be member of another pro-war ultra nationalist party (SRS) back in 90s and until 2008. He said then "we will kill 100 Muslims for 1 Serbian" (he refered to WW2 Nazi practice to "kill 100 Serbian civilians for 1 killed German"). Vučić today is a leader of the ruling party in Serbia (with support from EU, they called him a "factor of stability"😒). We can't rid of him due to electoral fraud and media censorship. It's messed up! Nowdays it has little to do with religions etc but with neoliberal pressures to make Serbia (and other poor countries) a dump site of cheap labour and dirty industry pollution for China, Saudi Arabia, UEA and EU. I found only articles in Serbian about his support. @@jvnande To be honest with you. You should never take seriously some of the stances and opinions that popular/celebrity people have. I mean, anywhere. In my opinion, and I am a Serb, I have nothing against Bregovic supporting president Vucic. In my mind it's fucked up world, and public personas will always disappoint us with some of their decisions from time to time, but I just want to remind myself that he is a great artist, and his music has such a vibe that should not be forgotten, so I won't be like some guys who choose to not listen to him anymore.
