I’m still remembering Sergei Grinkov and Ekaterina Gordeeva !! Their love and beauty on and off the ice still touches us to this day!!! Love them so much!!! They definitely deserved a lifetime of happiness!! Still sooo sad that he died way too young!!!

What a waste.. A few visits to the doctors could have saved him. Nobody can ever be as graceful as Sergei. And he loved Katia so much.

The greatest couple and skater. But I' m still saddened for the death of Sergei. Anyway there is still Katia and his daughter who really looks like him.

It was their love, as couple and as parents. It was our fairy tale, showing that this kind of love was possible. Life tore this dream away in an instant, for them and for us. I follewed them (on TV) since their beginnings. I was in love for the couple, for the evolution of their relationship. Everything looked perfect and durable. On next year it will be 30 from Sergei death, but not for me. The crushing of this tale is something that I remember every single day, and even much more since my malignant cancer. I will survive, I think, and the G&G family will live in my brain until my last moment.

@@miyumiyu12 How can I forget a small forget-me-not become a beautiful rose and a tall slim boy become a gentle giant? And, with this evolution, the other one in their relationship? His smiles to her ("relax, I'm here beside you, and I will take care of you"). And, unfortunately, I think a lot about the very first night when she went home and slept alone. There are things I forget very easily, while for some events I remember even how I was dressed and where I was. My picture was taken on my birthday party, two years ago. August 13, you can see the shirt and image how the weather was warm and umid in Genoa. The scarf is a protection for my neck, that now is OK but was in bad shape at the moment. Thank you for the answer, and I hope all the best for you too.

He shouldn't die..it's so heartbreaking. It could be prevented with simple test. He may not be able to compete anymore but he could be a great coach and have many years to spend with his family..❤

@@jeanettereynolds3151 Yes Russian coaches wanted as many medals and awards as they could possibly get! You’re right, it’s a simple test but they didn’t want to know so they (the Russian Federation) got as many good years out of him that they could but they also sacrificed Sergei’s life! So heartbreaking and unnecessary!! It tore Katia’s life apart and Daria’s life also. 😭😭
