The Gordon Goodwin Big Phat Band, recorded live May 26, 2019, at the LA Jazz Institute "Best From The West" concert series, at the Westin, Los Angeles Airport.

Trumpets: Wayne Bergeron, Ryan Deweese, Rob Shaer, Mike Rocha
Piano: Gordon Goodwin

Guitar: Andrew Synowiec
Percussion: Joey De Leon
Drums: Ray Brinker
Apologies for the (slightly) distorted audio. The only practical location for my iPhone was next to one of the house speakers.
I'll be uploading more soon--including Bill Holman, Johnny Mandel, Mike Barone, Carl Saunders, Scott Whitfield, Tom Kubis, Bob Florence, Rob McConnell, Bernie Dresel, Chris Walden. These things take time . . . :)

Wow! The Buddy Complex was awesome! You covered all his great songs, and the Band absolutely nailed it! The other songs? Incredible as well!!! Really funny during the drum solo, which are always long...the guys started putting their instruments away, checking their phones....

Keep this music going! It's part of our heritage yet it'd modern It showcases the best of the best, support it. Music today rock and roll, etc still takes from Went before jazz especially. Go Gordon

@@surge-tech9381 I did have the benefit of the "house mix." I put the iPhone on a tripod and set it right in front of one of the house speakers.

@@surge-tech9381 Look into LG phones. Great mics and quad DACS. My V20 and my G8 both can drive my vintage 600 Ohm AKG K240 Studio Monitor headphones.
