I love these videos. He seems like such a humble man. When he doesn't know what he's doing, he asks for help. When he gets something wrong, he owns up. One of the best chefs in the West and he's completely willing to admit that there are some things in cooking he just doesn't know shit about. So very genuine.

I'm Vietnamese and it warms my heart to see how hospitable and elated ethnic people from my hometown are to welcome you. They can feast you you decently even if they might not have much to eat, especially if you go further to countryside. And it touch my heart too to see how humble and respecful this man was to the local Vietnamese and food. ❤

@@spacewizard69 How is that bs? Growing up during the vietnam war, especially considering all the fucked up things that happened, will 100% stunt your growth. Look up how tall Dutch people were who grew up during the 1945 hunger winter where food was very scarce and people were starving. The people who grew up in that period grew to be a lot shorter than how Dutch people are now. In Vietnam it was even worse, and for a longer period of time.
