youre right, but it means you have to use a support character that gives ki on switch-out which you should do anyway in my opinion.

They wanted you to use him with the new beerus, but beerus is a ranger type and godku is a melee type so it makes no sense.

And godku deserved to have these types of machanics that would put him in the top 5 Him being a balanced unit hardly puts him in the top ten for a unit that has actually had no representation in this game.

That statement doesn’t imply Goresh is calling him mid . In the gohan 14star showcase he says within the first 2 match’s “let’s not makes this a Goku/Bardock showcase” as they pretty much solo the enemy team. It’s simply him referring to a character he uses on the team who is also very powerful and has a tendency to steal the spotlight in certain matchups

pure equips give you a percentage buff that counts everything, like z abilities, zenkai buffs and passives, while normal equips raise your base stat before they're increased by those things, that means in a setting where you're zenkai buffed once or more you'll get more from a pure than a base equip, hope that helps (not an expert, if anyone has a better explanation lmk)

even without gohan, godku's kit is trash, his only strength is the vanishing thing but considering how many strike countering characters are in the meta, people are comparing him to the half a year old super 17.... an anniversary unit that just dropped after being awaited 5 years, to some monthly gt unit that is half a year old.

No ki in entry. Gauge only proc-ing with strike/blast arts. Damage is insanely bad. Insanely gauge dependent. Basically no cover nullification. Survivabillity is fine but could be better. And just lacking more things to his kit.
