Solo Travel Japan, despite their name, seems like just the sort of travel companion one would want. Low-maintenance, easy-going, knows all the best spots to eat, won't shame you if you order more rice and food, tells you what's cool to take home and what isn't, and will wake you up to see sunrises.

I think it's also because of him filming. The ferry company may not mind (free advertising); but other passengers might not wish to be on film. (If my memory is correct I think Japan also has strict laws about filming others)

@@Vlad2319 It's one of the things I quite appreciate about the Japanese travel vloggers - it feels a lot more respectful to not be constantly showing random people on camera that obviously haven't consented to it. Always feels odd for, say, aviation youtubers to just be talking to the camera and the people sitting in the seat next to them are giving a side-eye at them.

Solo Travel Japan is my top 3 KZfaq Channel to watch everytime I go home after work. Everything about your vlog is so neat, calming, yet so entertaining and refreshing. My favorite part is whenever Solo Travel Japan have a room tour and explore every spot of the ship; and I bet all of you agree with this: it's whenever he ate at the ship's restaurant. Also, the TMI in this vlog is what makes it so refreshing and entertaining. It's so low-key funny and informative at the same time. If you said "thank you for always watching", let me say this too: thank you for always be there traveling, be healthy always and be happy.

I’ve only traveled by ferry once, in Greece, it wasn’t as luxurious as this one, quite simple to be honest but I just loved it. At first I was really scared, you see I have really bad anxiety and so as I was watching the ferry driving away from land I was in total panick, it was also 9pm so all I could see was darkness, couldn’t tell the sky from the sea, total panick. As I got to my cabin, simple cabin but cozy, I felt better, I sat on the floor and just appreciate the movement of the boat, swinging back and forth, I meditate to it, then I showered and it was one hell of a fun, the boat was swinging a lot so I couldn’t stop laughing at how hard it was to shower my thick long hair, also the curtains kept touching me and then swinging away then touching them swinging away, I see that that could be a bummer to some people but I saw joy with it, I then went to bed and slept like a baby, honestly I slept better than in these last 3 years, the swinging of the boat, the sound of the sea and the engine, best experience ever. When living with anxiety some simple things can be scary but there’s always simple things to light up the days, embrace what makes you happy and safe no matter how simple or stupid it might be to other people! Love you all ❤️

It's been most informative viewing a number of your videos these past few days. I hadn't realised how extensive the ferry services are in Japan. Unless you film the shipboard scenes in the middle of the night, they must be subsidised by the government because there seem to be very few passengers. Of course, their main trade may be the carriage of lorry freight. Another noticeable point is just how much food is consumed by a growing young man, even during a typhoon.

I was wondering the same thing at first, but after watching a few Solo Solo Travel videos, I'm pretty sure they're different people. Very similar styles though. Solo Solo Travel's demeanor comes across a lot differently, to me at least.

Haha so I was high key thinking I'd take that cat towel and bag home with me. Both of them ! Lol and I'd be buying up some of those cookies! He is SO CUTE that little cat. I prefer a bit of a firmer mattress but not to hard but no super soft either.

Not only did you get a private balcony sunrise on this trip, but you got a rainbow at arrival; what a great way to start the morning, even if the cafe was sold out of bread!
