GORGEOUS Gold & Silver! Metallic Puddle Pour ~ Acrylic Pouring Turorial

050- FIFTY pours already! WOW! I wanted to try another acrylic pour this week with some bolder colours, but also use some metallics I haven’t used together in awhile. I really liked the Magenta and Phthalo Blue together in the first few puddles I made, and thought the Gold and Silver worked well as a nice contrast.
I used ‪@LiquitexOfficial‬ Gold as well as Metallic Silver, and they turned out amazing!
I also used Amsterdam Titanium White with floetrol and penetrol as my cell activator which worked really well. The patterns that the lacing in this pour made were fantastic, and I was able to save most of the colour that I managed to create with my swipes.

@@tonysfluidart Thank you so much. Tony I created a really nice piece for our home. 24"x"30. Pouring. Later on, varnished with Resin epoxy...and added really nice silver and gold glitters. Something like Geode?. My husband built a base so that it won't sink. I used 4 cups of resin. Mixed thoroughly and poured. Spread by hand with gloves of course. 48 hours later...most of the resin dried, but some areas especially where I poured the glitter is still very sticky. Shnifff shniff😢😥😰😨😭😭😢😥😰

@@dalialovesdoggies4361 Hmmm… to be honest of never used resin to finish a pour yet, although I’d like to learn. Unfortunately I’m not sure why some hasn’t cured yet.

Love it. You know just how to correct something and not panic. My paints spread and I am tilting quickly panicking. Start pouring more paint. Any advice?

Thanks so much Jan! I’d say do your best to step back for a second just to see what you need to do. I think the knowing not to panic part really is something you learn over time. Keep pouring, slow down if you need as you do it, and you could always set the painting down to come up with plan 2 if the first isn’t working out. I hope this helps! 😊🤍

Is there a reason why you didn’t use a flow extender so it would have been easier to stretch out? Also heard that if you use Penetrol that you shouldn’t torch as it’s flammable. Is this true?

To be honest, I use floetrol in most of my paintings, just not a ton. I would say an ounce per color at most, but something to think about. And about the penetrol, I’ve never had any issues in using it myself. I also only use three or four drops in my cell activator, so I’m not using very much to begin with. But yes, it is flammable.
