The Gorosei have shown up 4 times: 1. After Shanks and Whitebeard had a fight over Blackbeard post-Skypiea 2. Talking about Aokiji after the events of Enies Lobby 3. After the War at Marineford discussing the fallout and Blackbeard 4. Getting into an argument with Sakazuki about Doflamingo after the events of Dressrosa

It's likely they're guarding the last Road Poneglyph in Merry Joy. After Reverie, Wano, and Elbaf the Strawhats should be strong enough to beat them, or at least hold them off till Robin copies the Poneglyph text. After that, Nami can chart a course to the Reverse Mountain and Raftel.

I'd like to point out that "Judge Dreadlocks" looks a bit like Leonardo Da Vinci as he was portrayed in Ever After. Considering that Oda enjoys throwing in fairy tale references (even obscure ones) and "Samurai Gandhi" is obviously based on Gandhi, that could be his inspiration. It seems that the Five Elder Stars are portraits based on historical figures around the world and that to contrast, the Celestial Dragons are caricatures based on historical figures around the world. Despite being a fantasy, several of the areas and characters in One Piece correspond to real-life locations so it's very possible. On a side note, "Samurai Gandhi" ALSO looks a LOT like Genma Saotome from Ranma 1/2 and Kappei Yamaguchi voiced the titular character of that series. If they throw in a nod to that by having a Usopp vs "Samurai Gandhi" battle, I'll fangirl squeal. LOL

I don't know if it was the Oppi Oppi No Mi, since that one is supposed to grant eternal youth and the Gorusei are anything but youthgul. That being said, the idea that they don't age makes a lot of sense.

I was just about to comment about the symbol of the world government but you talked quickly about it in the last second something to point out with it, either it means that 4 of the gorosei are different people connected by some person in the gorosei who keeps them all together, or it is to point out that the cp, warlords, marines, and celestial dragons are connected through the world government it would be nice to hear you talk about this if you haven't already and i missed it in some other video

A great way to look at this would be to compare it to a modified and more militarized U.N. (United Nations). The UN itself would be the World Goverment. The leaders of the UN would be the Gorosei and lead/direct the branches of the UN. Change the UN peacekeeping force to a formal army and that would be the Marines. The UN Intel network would be Cipher Pol. The Warlords would be like independently hired soldiers (captains) contracted from other countries to keep peace in certain areas and come to arms if needed. The UN is both one entity and many. Each country in the UN has either a King/Queen or President...these would be the Tenryuubito. Boom. 🔥💣

Hey Tekking, I have a theory about the worst generation. So during the war of the best the worst generation was there either as a spectator or involved but not as the main opponents. So I believe the new world parralel will be known as the War of the Worst. This time with the worst generation getting the spotlight. Right now most of them are now heading or at wano.

That would be pretty cool if they aren't combatants and just politicians/economists/leaders. Sure they look strong and I have no doubt they've been in plenty of fights. But they lead an entire Government. Like Tekking said, they're smart: If they don't have to fight and can find a simpler method to deal with the problem, they'll do that instead.

I have a little theory about the gorosei. I think the gorosei swordsman was the most powerful swordsman before Shanks and Mihawk and is somehow connected to Wano.

Hey Teking I think you should do a video on Fisher Tiger and the Sun Pirates. It would definitely be interesting and could tie into the geographical challenge it was to scale the red line.(Geography is EVERYTHING) and the effects it had on the One Piece World in general. I.E : The Boa Sisters, Jinbe, Fishman- Human relations etc.

The Gorosei and Celestial Dragons can be explained like this- Technically, Queen Elizabeth rules England (and owns 25% of the world), but she defers powers to the British government. The PM, as such, controls the British government The British government appeases the Royal Family and lets them have nice things. If the Queen really wanted to, she could influence politics, but she has opted to remain apolitical.

I'd say close but no cigar. It's hard to compare IRL to manga/anime. But the CD's and the royals do remind me of each other especially with the shallow gene pool to say the least 🤣

I always thought it would be cool if you did ~30 min summaries of each one piece arc. Like tell the overall story of the arc. Then talk about how it fits into the story as a whole. I would watch that.

Because that is not one of the three great powers. The great power of the World Government are the Marines, Cipher Pol and Warlords. These are forces that can exert the power of the W.G in the world in some way. Impel Down and Enies Lobby are both Government run facilities, they are important. But no powers in and of themselves.

That wouldn't work, Law's fruit grants eternal youth, not immortality, and these fuckers are old as chivalry, so the Ope Ope no mi did not grant them their immortality, because it only grants eternal youth

Jake Brown if it stopped aging it wouldn't be eternal youth, it would be a form of immortality, which everyone assumes it is. Immortality via no aging is just that, ageless immortality. Eternal youth is always staying young, in your youth, in your prime. Yes it would stop aging as a result, but only to remain in ones youth. Eternal youth surgery is called that for a reason, as a opposed to the immortality surgery. Idk if someone's already old and get it done, but I feel they would be made young, because the point of eternal youth is staying in ones prime, as opposed to living forever as a middle aged or old man

Since it was stated that the WG's symbol represents the four seas and the Grand Line, do you think it's possible the Gorosei originates from, or at least represents, those seas each?
