@@Heavenly9999 I've studied Japanese for some years now, and I can begrudgingly give you the 仏（ほとけ）point but that, Adam and Eve stuff is a real stretch being that you can pick do that with so many names it's not even funny. Now maybe if there was some connection to いざなみ and いざなぎ the "Japanese" Adam and Eve I'd take it. But, the Adam and Eve is such a stretch that it's insane. Also, generally when Japanese put words (names) together they take parts from the beginnings of each word as opposed to the beginning of one and the end of another. I mean nice use of using your mind to make connections, but that one (adam and eve) really feels like pulling at strings. However, the "hotoke" one is really nice because a lot of katakana did come from kanji originally and I can imagine that might of been used somewhere previously in Japanese history as some kind of literary device. Or at the very least I can understand the inspiration. Not trying to belittle your finding, but just giving the perspective of someone who has studied the language and culture for a bit.

@Gary Oak Also quick note on pronunciation, while I'd wait for the anime to be sure, but Japanese do have a tendency to mute the ending "う(u)" sound at the end of a word. For example, the classic example is です (desu), but this can also clearly seen in My Hero Academia, some characters say いずく（izuku's）name でく（deku）in such a way its closer to deck as opposed to deku. However, generally at least in standard Japanese the "u" sound is more strongly pronounced when something (usually not an honorific like さま [sama]) immediately follows it. So, maybe adding a "but"　ですが (desuga)　then that's when I'll usually pronounce the す　"su" sound fully. While it depends on the person, this "rule" is generally followed. [Not really a rule just natural Japanese pronunciation] Anyway the original point is that it's possible it'll be closer to "emsama" as opposed to "emu-sama" I just put the "e" instead of "i" for the sake of English-speaking people's pronunciation benefit. Though, of course, it won't be lengthened as you pointed out so no "eemsama." Also, this is pretty unrelated, while the Japanese romaji doesn't have an "L" and instead they have an "r" the sound that is made is pretty much an average of those two sounds not an actual hard "r" which very many Japanese people have a hard time pronouncing, to a the point it can be mildly amusing. Also, reading romaji is cancer because it invites misunderstandings like these. Which is why when learning any language while the writing english can be a helpful beginning guide, you should always strive for a native pronunciation, which is very easy to get by simply watching media in that language and repeating them, you'll just naturally get better. That is literally the only way I could even begin speaking mandarin at any reasonable speed. I just never see the point in correcting people unless the precedent is always there. [In this case I don't know of any instances of anyone saying the name that produces/creates the anime/manga.] Like when people who don't study Japanese say "It's not sempai it's senpai" it just irks me. I mean neither of those are correct the ん is more of nasal sound which becomes very apparent when you say something like cause 原因（げん’いん）"gen'in" that is most definitely not pronounced the same as 下人（げ・にん）"genin" from Naruto. So either way senpai and sempai are both wrong, and don't worry about it, most likely you aren't even Japanese. It's 先輩（せん・ぱい）and no other way is accurate. Though of course Japanese people rarely tell you this because they are so nice (first-hand experience). Another example way romaji is garbage for anything other than a beginning guide.

@@dylaninfinity9756 Thank you for the feedback i would like to say however that the Adam and Eve connection isn't entirely baseless. the theory that i like is that IM is a somehow ancient person who lived during the void century and has ruled the organization that became the world government since the ancient past which after the void century ended and the new world under the new world government was created IM would in a sense be the first human in the eyes of the government like Adam & Eve this ancient past theme is furthered by the name of IM's caste Pangaea which is the same as the ancient super continent which could be considered the beginning of the world. as for the Izanagi & Izanami point i will provide the existence of the ancient trees as evidence the treasure tree Adam & the sunlight tree Eve give a president to assume it would be Adam & Eve rather than Izanagi & Izanami. the connection is furthered when you consider that the sunlight tree eve is located directly below Mary Geoise and by extension Pangaea castle where IM themself resides. the last point that connects them to Adam & Eve is that the second time we see IM they are inside the room of flowers which is filled with plant life like grass, trees, and flowers which bears a resemblance to The Garden Of Eden The Earthly Paradise which is where Adam & Eve lived.
