Finally someone made a Trangia that doesn’t leak. $21 isn’t unreasonable for what you get, but $15 shipping from Australia is a deal breaker. If Goshawk had a stateside distributor they’d sell a ton of these.

I just went through the purchase process (without completing) and the price for the burner was $27, with $14 shipping. So a little more for the burner, and marginally less shipping (perhaps to a different part of the country). I tend to agree, the shipping cost from Australia is quite a bit - over 50% of the purchase price! I don't normally order anything from Australia, so I don't know if this is normal, but considering the shipping charges I've paid from China, it seems a bit excessive.

G'day mate, this mob happens to be just down the road from me, (free in store pick -up) hallelujah !!!!! Dont think I've ever been in this position before. You wanna try the other way round I.e. shipping to Oz from the U.S. (or from any country for that matter), and throw in currency conversion, you really have to want/need the item quite badly ; ) Cheers Duke.

I agree. This is often the case for anyone in Canada buying from anywhere else in the world, including the US. A Canadian distributer would help. Thanks for commenting

When I ordered my OP-100 from Goshawk, I got it with the windscreen. It works really well for smaller pots. (For larger pots I will probably use the Firebox Nano.) The 2 cup boil time I got with the windscreen was about the same as what you got with the Nano.

I don’t understand why so many people have problems with a leaking trangia. I use my trangias, yes I have more than one, now for more than 25 years. Some are older some are only a few years old. I never ever had a leaking! And all of them are prefilled for spontaneous use. I think the most people only tell what they have heard and didn’t make their own experiences! The only thing I wish would be a titanium ultralight trangia with full function.

I have not had my original Trangia leak but I have had my copy cat burners leak when the O-ring dried and shrunk. Thanks for commenting

The swirling blue flame looks as if to be bit higher then other brands. Nice new concept.

I agree. I believe the "tornado" affect adds to the height of the flame and efficiency of the heating. Thanks for commenting

I'd recommended just buy the AZ-100 stand when you buy the stove. (as mentioned towards the end of the video)

Gosh, Awk, that sure is a fancy burner you have there…….sorry. One of the stove setups I use for the Trangia, is a BCB stove. It’s similar to the Esbit. I took the center piece where the solid fuel goes, and I flattened it. It wasn’t my idea, I saw it on another KZfaq channel. That burner looks like it will also fit into the BCB. Or, maybe in the medium Esbit stove. That’s a cool stove.

The BCB kit is something I don't have yet, although I have tried the gel fuel. Thanks for commenting

Man I just can't get away from my homemade stoves. One of these days I will get a trangia. The Goshawk looks like it puts out a lot of heat with that intense flame pattern. Thanks for sharing Mark.

Thanks Mark for the video. I have this burner and love it. It burns efficiently and hot as working well with narrow diameter pots. I still need to get the windscreen from Goshawk, but the burner is a winner!

Right on. The concentrated flame pattern is a real help with small pots. I hope to get the pot stand to go with it as well. Thanks for commenting

Tried my new Goshawk OP100 for the first time today. Filled it up like I do my Trangia and set it on the floor of my SS Nano with a liter of water in a titanium pot. The OP100 ran out of fuel before the pot came to a boil. My trangia, in exactly the same scenario will boil the liter of water with fuel to spare. At the outset, I came to the conclusion that the Goshawk is a fuel hog. Further contemplation tells me I need to experiment with different distances between the burner and the pot. The jury is out...................

Interesting. I had not tested with a full liter so I just tried it. I used my SS Nano, a 15cm aluminum pot, 31g methyl-hydrate (up to the line) and cold tap water. I recorded a rolling boil at 11:25 and a run out at 13:50. My observations are it could be better if brought closer to the pot. I have not done a full liter with my Trangia but will do that to compare. Thanks for commenting

To accommodate smaller diameter pots, Combine the Toaks cross bars (they are 2 narrow Titanium) serrated edged strips with generous cut outs at each end), with the flexible pot stand . Many thanks for sharing. Looks a very good stove.recently bought sh, their hoop stove, also very good.

Hey Mark, thanks for including total capacity. Hardly anyone does. Does it handle wind as well as a trangia? That’s what brought me to that stove. Some of these alcohol stove bow out with a slight puff of wind. Also a great stand for this would be the folding skewer stand you made on a video, which works great for me.

Hi Jim. I would say it is better in the wind. Appears to operate at higher pressure and the jets are set inside the top. Still, I always use a windscreen. Thanks for commenting

@@MarkYoungBushcraft Thanks. Every stove needs a windscreen, but I’ve had a couple that if you fart the dam thing goes out. I’ll see what shipping costs are, or if I can find it on Amazon or something. If they can ship cheap, I’ll pick one up
