Te olvidas de su otro fundador Eduardo Makaroff que es Argentino al igual que la mayoría de los músicos que lo integran, de hecho el nombre del grupo pertenece a un café Argentino. O acaso los escuchas cantar en frances o mostrar imágenes de Francia?🙄

I'm Argentinian and I got that a lot from several good Italian friends I met while traveling. Gotan Project is from Buenos Aires, half Italian and half Spanish city... and GP achieves a modern and refined version of the tango and mostly the way of life that once characterized Argentina's italian immigrants that today un-evolved in what we call "the guachiturros".

Joe Lujan Well, Gothan Project is a franco-swiss-argentinian trio accomplished by a "host" female singer and by others "host" musicians. GP was created in Paris, and 2/3 of the funding members are francophone. By the way in most of their live show a huge part of their musicians are from Argentina so it's not correct to call them "french" or "argentinian". They're "international" and "cosmopolitan". Buenos Aires to me looks like a southamerican city with a strong european look in architecture, food and fashion but even if a great deal of population has italian roots they speak spanish and they don't have much of "italian". Maybe something in their food or some words from their dialect or accent, but beyond this there's nothing more else of "italian". Argentina was a land of massive immigration from Spain and Italy, so it's correct to say that GP lyrics are not only about "italian" immigration, but about immigration in general. What's a gauchiturros? The gaucho was a kind of "landwoner cowboy" raising beef cattle in Pampas and living in ranchs.
