I think this song is unique even for BABYMETAL. I believe this was only the 2nd time it was performed and mostly because fans voted for it before the 10 Budokan shows. It is hauntingly beautiful. 🤘🦊🤘

@@Killem911 It was for this specific release: _10 BABYMETAL Years [w/ Blu-ray, Limited Edition / Type C]_ "First Press Limited Edition C is a special video "10 LEGEND MOVIES" of 10 songs selected by the tournament "10 LEGEND SONGS TOURNAMENT" where fans select BABYMETAL's representative songs. You can find more details with the phrase "The "10 LEGEND SONGS TOURNAMENT" has finished [FINAL RESULTS]". Fans did vote it in, but Babymetal announced that they were unable to include it due to a rights issue related to the one time it was performed live (at that time, in 2020). It is commonly thought, quite reasonably, that the fan demand for this neglected song led to them bringing it back for a new live performance at Budokan.

This song was performed along with Syncopation in the middle of the setlist during Doomsday III and IV, i get what you said about this song, it got that epic and ethereal vibes and it shows a mature side in BM second album, Metal Resistance. This is a long time waited proshot version for the fans, song was pushed to be performed again after many years and being played only one time at Hollywood Paladium in 2017 while on US tour when YuiMetal was still in the group, sadly for copyright disputes that proshot version never saw the light and we only have fancams of that. Thankfully they performed this in 2021 at 10 Babymetal Years Budokan, and surprised everyone with this astonishing and beautiful production. Momoko Okazaki ( now MomoMetal) was the avenger helping to fill the third spot and she did a great job, that's why she deserved to be an official member. Also the English lyrics is a little bit more clear thanks to Papa Xan from BMRR (although this version is from a rare edit so it's not the original clip, that's why you won't get blocked), but we don't have official lyrics yet, is one out of three songs with full English lyrics. Like someone said before, MoaMetal is like a body subtitles for this song. The breakdown you heard is actually dubstep or brostep, is a genre widely know and popular around 2015 thanks to Skrillex among others, he actually become very good friend with BM and even invite them to perform during a Skrillex show in Japan playing a remix version of Gimme Chocolate!! Love how you freak out with this song but the first section isn't SuMetal singing, it was a backing track, after that she sings live and that's not taking out credits to any of them, it just become this song even more beautiful, that's why ranks one of my favorite too. Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。Yes, this performance was shocking to everyone. This song has been performed only 3 times to date. A limited number of fans who were at Hollywood Palladium on June 16, 2017 had been privileged to experience this song for 4 years. So, on February 16, 2021, when the intro started, everyone at Budokan (including me) was firstly shocked and gradually god excited understanding what was going to happen. At the end of the song, however, everyone got confused with what he / she witnessed because it was too surprising and mesmerizing. On the following day (Feb.17), the audiences came to the venue expecting the setlist would remain the same and FDTD would be played again. Once this song started many of them (including me) just stared at the stage without moving as if they were trying to burn the performance into their retinas. Su-Metal did it perfectly. "In the end ! (or In the air!)" Divine voice. And Moa and Momoko did perfect choreo like angels smoothly dancing around the goddess. Oh! I actually saw and listened to it twice for sure, but still "was it real?" (Even after reconfirmed it in Blu-ray video)

I forget you’re not like the rest of us and just inhaling everything Babymetal you can get your hands on. Yeah, this is their second best song ever. It’s a masterpiece in every way possible. It’s even more meaningful because they’ve only done it live twice. And only once was video recorded professionally. This is the song that if you are ever at their live show and you hear this intro start to play, consider yourself one of the luckiest people who has ever lived.

Now that they have 3 members again they can really do justice to songs like Line, Uki Uki Midnight, Meta Taro....and maybe a lil Black Babymetal??? And From Dusk Till Dawn of course

@@thebabymetaltheater I haven't seen it myself, but I HEARD that at their opening concert they had Babymetal, and then on some.smaller stage somewhere they had some younger girls dressed as Babymetal. If that is TRUE, then maybe Babymetal plans on using the younger girls to do the Black Babymetal routines that won't really work well of Moa did since Moa is kinda too old for some of the songs.

FOR YEARS I didn't know the beginning had actual lyrics until I eventually watched a lyric video of this song! Su's notes are so high that I thought that part was just part of the music using a 80's/90's style synth keyboard! 🤘🦊🤘

You're right - this is a perfect track and easily in my top 3 all time favorite BABYMETAL tracks - if not number 1. It's a 10 in every way and plainly just a masterpiece. The mixing is perfect, the pacing is excellent, the vocals are different and amazing, the song structure is killer, and the overall feel is just totally epic in the true sense of the word (and not the overblown way that word is so often used these days). The very first time I heard this on their Metal Resistance album I was blown away, and I hit repeat on this song every time I play the album. It just has this ethereal feel that makes the hairs on my neck stand up every time I hear it. FYI, this song was only available on the Western release version of Metal Resistance - the Japanese version got Syncopation instead. I dig Syncopation too, but in my opinion there is no contest which song is better - it is easily From Dusk Till Dawn. Anyway, I have been singing the praises of this song for years and it is CRIMINALLY underrated by the BABYMETAL community in my opinion. People always make a big deal out of Syncopation but almost never mention this song. It also confounds me that people never seem to mention this song when others ask about BABYMETAL songs that are sung in English - From Dusk Till Dawn is sung completely in English. Anyway, yeah...this track completely rules. I would kill to have this song performed on a Blu-Ray of one of concerts; but, so far it has only been released on Blu-Ray once that I'm aware of, and you had to be a fan club member to get it originally, and it was expensive even for fan club members. It's REALLY expensive on places like eBay now, so I guess I'll just have to wait until they finally perform it at another concert that goes on a home video release.

You should definitely watch "Trilogy of lights", consisting of the songs "Starlight", "Shine" and "Arkadia". Shine is my favorite song from Babymetal, every time it tears my soul like the first one, and I can't listen to it enough and enjoy the emotions that Su conveys through vocals. You will definitely like it.

The Trilogy is arguably BABYMETAL's apex, best ever. Not a great fan of Metal Galaxy, but the Trilogy of Light is an outstanding piece of art, especially the live version from Legend Metal Galaxy Day 2. 🤘🦊⚡️

During 2021 they performed 10 concerts at the Budokan to commemorate their first 10 years. 10 concerts and a CD with the 10 best songs. They select those songs (for the CD) with voting on social media. Something funny happens when From Dusk Till Down "fights" Headbanger. Of course, everyone thought that Headbanger is going to win. But many fans made a move to get FDTD victory. Babymetal says "cannot include FDTD on CD due to copyright issues" and finally Headbanger joins in to "10 BABYMETAL YEARS" album, LMAO. Babymetal did not forget this. The song is appreciated by many fans, so they give us this beautiful rendition. This is my favorite presentation of the 10 BABYMETAL BUDOKAN and the best of all 2021.

I recommended this months ago in the comments. Like I said when I recommended it, this song along with No Rain No Rainbow is Su at probably her most vocally pinnacle. This is one of my most played Babymetal songs since the Metal Resistance album released. If you want to see some Moa solo songs you should check out Onedari Daisakusen and GJ! from the 2021 Budokan shows (the same shows as this performance).

When I first heard this song, I was looking all over for any other groups or songs that had this combination of electronic, ethereal vocals, dubstep, and dark vibes.... And when The Other One album dropped, Babymetal gave me what I was looking for.🤘🦊🤘

Herbert, I have a recommendation for you - The Birthday Massacre - one of my favorite criminally underrated and largely unknown bands. Their music can best be described as a combination of dark wave/synth wave, metal, electronica, and some touches of industrial and other things. They have a great catalog of many albums at this point as they have been recording and touring for many years. I guess the one thing they don't really have is ethereal vocals, but their female lead singer, Chibi, does sing in a variety of styles and pitches depending on the song, including ethereal-esque in some cases. Anyway, if you appreciated The Other One, then I'm sure The Birthday Massacre will be to your liking. They haven't made too many official videos, but you can find videos for "One," "In the Dark," and a couple of others. One video is for the song "Beyond," which you might particularly enjoy, because it somewhat ticks that ethereal box." Enjoy.

@@crimson0119 Wow...I'm surprised you have one. That song is off of their Superstition album, which is one of their more recent albums (it's a good album IMO, and the song Beyond that I mentioned that has a video is from that album too). Their really old stuff is of course more raw and aggressive sounding. Their newer stuff is a bit more synthy and melodic, though they still kick out the jams too. My favorite stuff of theirs is from their middle period, which includes albums Walking With Strangers and Hide and Seek.

Great reaction - great facial expressions (I thought you had lockjaw for a while there), great song, great performance ... everything was just great really. I think you have already been told the history of this masterpiece and how it is so rare that we had to wait until 2021 before there was a live performance and BluRay to show for it ... from 2017 we only had shaky fan cam videos to watch from the one time it had been played live at Hollywood Palladium in 2017. RoadRunner seems to have left you a fairly comprehensive list of songs you haven't heard yet ... but the Trilogy of Lights is very special - 'Starlight', Shine' and 'Arkadia' .... and I would argue that the live performance of 'Shine' from the Legend M concert (Moa's 20th) may just be Su-metal's finest vocal performance to date along with Moa's choreo and the symbology of a guitar on stage with them making it one of the most emotionally charged performances too.

Agreed this is one of their finest songs - and also the rarest. It was performed live just ONCE back in 2017 at the US Holywood Paladium concert - luckily a fan video exists of this song. Then during 10 Budokan concerts they performed it twice during the shows III and IV (from where this comes). No one knows quite why but the eruption you hear is the delight and surprise when it started. It is suspected the difficulty for Su to sing this is the reason it is so rarely sung live. But that is speculation.

The lyrics is still a mystery. The subtitles are only the best guess. They played this song live for the first time at the Hollywood Palladium on June 16th 2017. For the second time at the Budokan, on 16th February 2021. The gap is exactly 44 months.

I've been recommending this one from the beginning! So underrated 💫 It's from their second album "METAL RESISTANCE" and when it first came out (At least here in Canada) this track wasn't included so I discovered it later on KZfaq and it became my favorite instantly. Great reaction, thanks! This song is amazing and it has a weird live history as it's been already explained. It's a combination of dream trance with metal and very underrated in my opinion. Su's falsetto is incredible (not the first time we hear she using it) and it becomes surreal when she belts those crazy notes. What do you need to watch? A lot, not sure if they are blocked, but here I go: "iine", "Akatsuki" (unfinished version), "Onedari Daisakusen", "4 no uta" (Song of 4), "Awadama fever", "YAVA!", "GJ!", Sis. Anger", "Night Night Burn", "In the Name of", "Distortion", "Kagerou"... among others. Love this song. Congrats on having a new favorite song. That's always fun. I really enjoyed how different the vocals were on this song compared to what we've heard previously from BABYMETAL. They are constantly switching styles up on us. I'm 3 years into my BABYMETAL journey and had never heard this one either. Another one that I really like that I discovered recently was "Shanti Shanti Shanti," not sure if you've checked that one out yet (how do you not have a BABYMETAL playlist?) or you can reach into the archives if you haven't done "Uki Uki Midnight" yet, as I love how spastic that one is.

They are doing 3 headline shows in November, 2 in London and 1 in Wolverhampton so get yourself a ticket if you haven’t already and maybe just maybe 🙏🏻 they might play this. Have you done Tales of the Destinies ? It’s from the same album as From Dusk Till Dawn. It’s an absolute must.

Dude, I've just discovered your channel and i've watched all your babymetal reactions on a streak! Also I've got to say that I get emotional listening this songs too. There are definitely lots of talented metal bands in japan right now. If you want to check out a new band with an unique music style, I would suggest you to check out "Passcode", an electronic metal band with lots of influence of videogames and 8bit music. If that got your attention, I think you should start by "PassCode - MISS UNLIMITED (live at Studio Coast, 2016)". They are amazing!

Babymetal has been my favorite band since Jan 2022. I'm a 60-year-old man, I had never heard of them until I saw one of their videos on youtube. Since then Every time I'm in my car, or out on a walk I listen to them nice and loud. I was never a metal fan, but this band, and the girls are far more than just a metal band. Praise the fox god.

While I don't like Brand New Day better than From Dusk Till Dawn, it is one of the other criminally underrated songs from BABYMETAL. Brand New Day is my favorite track from the Metal Galaxy album for sure - which is saying something because there are SO many good tracks on that album.

Thank you so much! From Dusk Till Dawn is Definitely one of their best songs and this performance is the best version of the song IMO. Such awesome vocals by Su and Moa it's a shame it's so underrated. (I was one of peeps who recommended btw ;) For your next BABYMETAL song I recommend "Babymetal - Kagerou (2020 Live ProShot) Eng Sub". I think The best version on KZfaq is on For The Fox God's YT channel.

Nice reaction. This was the first time this song was performed in Japan. This is also the best recording of a live performance of it. They don't perform this song very often. It's a rare gem from their catalog. Also, the words to the song are best guess. It seems no one really knows for sure. I would really like an interviewer to just ask them or Koba what the words actually are. Babymetal showing they can do it all with this song. I hope they do it again live. Babymetal for life. This is the way.

I must admit, for a long time I have more or less written this song off as the subpar international replacement of Syncopation (in case you don't know, it replaces Syncopation on the international version of the album), as Syncopation is one of my absolute favourites. It took the release of this live version for me to realize that it's actually really good. It's quite special and may require a certain mood for me to fully enjoy it, though.

This is my number 1 Babymetal song since a long time ❤ As with so many other Babymetal songs, when you hear them for the first time, they become your favourite Babymetal song lol but FDTD sits in my personal number 1 spot for a long time. It’s unique, it’s perfect and especially this performance is just crazy good in any regard. I am pretty sure I recommended that song to you a bunch of times before xd. I need to check what BM songs you have reacted to, to make a suggestion but I am pretty sure you haven’t reacted to all songs from their latest album.

Did you notice how the light changed from yellow to blue to yellow again to symbolize the passage from Dusk to night to Dawn? :D This performance is really breathtaking!! This song was also performed live once with also Yui, and both Moa and Yui had harmonies with SU! But sadly there are no ProShots of it, only few fancams!! If you haven't watched it yet, go for the official MV for "Iine"!! It's so much fun :)

Babymetal is one of my favourite bands! The first times listening to this song on CD it didn't quite register that Su-metal was singing.... But since you mentioned epic sound of this music you might want to check out Epica as well! Symphonic metal with also a great leading female vocalist! For example Epica - Design your universe (retrospect concert), or Skeleton Key (Omega alive).

This really is a truly unique piece of art. I could listen to a whole album of similarly inspired music. It was very rarely performed due to copyright issues as it was part of a cartoon project which didn't pan out.

This song is criminally underrated even among the fans I feel. I stopped reccomending this song to reactors since it's usually always got overshadowed by other songs. So glad you reacted to this. I listen to a lot of music in all kinds, but this is still feels so unique to me, so haunting, dreamy, beautiful, and yet the breakdown in the middle is so heavy and satisfying.

Thank you for your always wonderful reaction. I highly recommend Tales of The Distinies. It has elements of progressive rock, and it is very difficult to play, sing, and dance. It was only played once at the Tokyo Dome live. Please react to the live version,not album. From Japan.

My absolutely favorite song from the first time I heard it. Su was in soprano clef range, amazing. When Moa took lead vocal, I was so impressed as well. I have heard all Babymetal songs, this one took Babymetal to a new level for me. Another sone that was amazing for me was, NIGHT NIGHT BURN (LEGEND METAL GALAXY 2020) Live. Living on the Border of Mexico, I felt right at home lol.

Not knowing all of the ones you have reacted to, Night Night Burn, Awadama Fever, Yava, No Rain No Rainbow, Elevator Girl, Pa Pa Ya, Kagerou, Starlight, Shanti Shanti Shanti, Onedari Daisakusen, Syncopation, Brand New Day, Mirror Mirror. Song writing for Babymetal is as amazing as the girls and the band. They have no fear of trying something new and different. Sue makes it look and sound perfect.
