To be fair, Khorinis works better as an island in both gameplay and story. The expectation and excitement about leaving the island and going to the mainland is part of the charm of G1 and G2. Shame Gothic 3 was canceled...

What can you do when the publisher fights with the developer to the point of them going to court. Had they let Piranha Bytes do their job, we might have gotten what we wanted.

You missed the more damning retcons between G2 and G3. The retcons in the first 2 games are easily reconcillable. G3 doesn't fit in the continuity of Gothic at all

Vertigo, I know its much to ask of you, but if you end up finishing the Iceberg series, can you make it into one big video. I dunno if I speak for myself here, but I love long videos for gaming on the side, and your content + your voice is just perfect for that. Please keep on going with the icebergs tho!

The visual representation and placement on this map is mostly fan made. Let me explain. TL:DR Using lore and games we can only guess. The continent is from G3 but the distances to islands, their shapes, and overall geography is left to speculate. For example in G2 Silvio and his mercenaries were fighting orcs in SOUTHER PART OF KHORINIS ISLAND. That would make Valley of mines somewhat in the middle of the island and leaving A LOT OF area unexplored below its southern mountains we never saw. Taking that into account we cannot reliably make the shape of Khorinis island. Thus "FAN MADE" means using all lore in game and dev diaries etc fans guesstimated how things MIGHT look, and where they might be.

One little mistake: Jack from G3 is the same one from G2, you mentioned these captain are missing but only two of them doesn't appear and Jack is in G3. Very excited for next episodes ☀️

I think that the Jack we encounter in G3 is a different person. It was some type of inside joke that every man associated with lighthouses is called jack. In Risen and Elex you can find Jacks too!

@@tikeyyX All good man. If he would be Jack from G2 he would definitely have some dialogue with the hero and the german wiki treats them both as seperate individuals as well.
