here’s my thinking…folding bikes have a divide. those with power but difficulty storing in a vehicle due to bulk. this gotrax is in this category. (didn’t fit in your tesla and about the same should be expected in a compact car.) and those with much less power but can fold easily and fit much, much easier it more cars with limited trunk space. if i wanted power then folding is not necessary. i can go with something else. since the bulk defeats the purpose. if i wanted portability, then power has to take a back seat. for emergencies, this is acceptable. i would be interested in covering what is available fitting this criteria. the voleotric fold 1 is probably the closest i could find with this in mind. the integrated rack helps with an acceptable cargo weight capacity. removable battery. in both kinds of folding ebikes, (generally speaking) displays shouldn’t be lcds. it’s 2024 not 1990. and folded bikes should remain folded, not unravel on you. straps and latches are a plus. there should be a front suspension.

I've never folded my folder. I have 2 fat tire ebikes. And one moped style dirt bike. I like being close to the ground at 5'8" 150#. I like Gotrax ebikes.

Excellent review... Now, a 14-28+ tooth cassette would solve the ghost pedaling issue with this bike. Still, not bad for an inexpensive beater IMO. And the battery IS BIGGER than a stock battery from Lectric.

No competitor seen - they use all the same frame type and often similar/the same stuff around. I guess ALL of them come from the same factory

That dont compete with lectric i can tell u that lectric company has good business and they cover their warranty pretty good

Ever dyno a Wired E-bike? I just got the newest one with two batteries and I would love to know the actual dyno results. Website says 3200 watts, and so does the bike when you pin the throttle or use pedal assist 5.

Do you know if the displays are interchangeable on the various folders? They appear to be rebranded generic controller interfaces, but I’ve not seen anything specific.

So happy that you're feeling better, Kyle. You know Jordan Peterson and his daughter have been on the car her diet for health reasons for quite some time and have had very positive results as well. Sure doesn't speak well of the no meat no dairy no anything diets like vegan does it.
