I came back to DDO after a many year break because ofthe latest free quest promotion. Coming back theres so many differences in how classes progress and specialise. I have spent the last 2 weeks watching your videos and learning so much. Thank you for this and all your videos.

Skills-wise, it's almost always worth investing in UMD if you have the points for it - not just for healing & curatives but one that's often overlooked is the humble Find Traps (level 2 divine spell, easy to find at vendors) scroll that temporarily grants the trapfinding feat plus a small bonus to your search skill - combined with a switch-in +search skill item & with the natural INT focus wizards will have, sometimes you'll be able to uncover trap boxes that pure rogues (some assassin & acrobats since they're more likely to be dex focused) might not uncover reliably, or make disarming multiple traps easier as you can uncover boxes while the trapper gets on with disarming - I often do this to assist in the master artificer raid.

I always found it useful to carry some wands (especially at early levels) so you can keep casting spells without worrying about spell points.

Thanks for the video Strimtom! For skills I'm a fan of putting points into Move Silently and carrying an item that boosts this skill, to complement using Invisibility. (Jump + FF buffs help too) Also wanna add that going Halfling with the Dragonmark is a free to play option for more healing :)

Best D&D character I ever played was a Gnome Wizard named Cheebow. We called him Cheese. My guy had his own lore and all.

Wish I watched this before rolling my Wizard. I spent the first level or so just swinging an axe at mobs because I didn't know I had to prepare spells in a tavern.

I like to call spell pen that stat you don't need till you need it, then you want it all.

For important skills to put points into, you forgot heal... can't believe you included repair, which only is helpful if you want to repair a construct, but heal is the MOST important skill for a PM and most wizards are PM'S

Are the metamagic feats any good? I find this confusing. it looks like on paper they would be, but other people on some forums were discouraging people away from them. This doesn't make sense because it seems you could do so much with them. It also seemed discouraging that only information on the pale master build is around on the net and not on any other builds. it would be nice to know of and see what other builds can work as I don't think people want to play as an undead for some people.

Is there a viable wizard build that doesn't involve playing an undead monster?

I am by no means a DDO expert and this guide is geared towards me. I do have a question regarding the skill point however since when playing last night (lvl 3 Wiz) I noticed some skills you didn't cover affected certain spell types. One of the skills (perform or maybe heal) affected positive and negative energy spells. Are putting points into those skills worth it if for example you want to be a Necro and expect to use negative energy a lot?

in the schools tab at the bottom, there's a column call spell crit multiplier, i noticed at 3rd or 6th, warlock gets a bump to this in one of the trees but i cant really tell if theres an effect?!? AND i cant find any treasure drops that seem to affect this column at all? and nothing for any other caster classes either? please enlighten me.

Also you forgot to include level 7 spells in the "rare scrolls" list... can't buy any level 7 scrolls... level 6 is max you can buy from a vendor

Hey, not sure if anyone else had this issue when they are choosing paths. A while ago, I was in the game and I had the +5 lesser heart that DDO gave to player due to the change in the game! I relog in for lesser reincarnate using the +5 heart and talk to the life shaper and decided multi class monk + fighter. After I took the monk level i needed i took fighter level but after level 5 fighter I cannot take another fighter, it just wouldn't let me. It says, " some unknown error occurred, choose the path manually" something like that and I choose it manually but it doesn't work, the same message repeatedly. I relog twice but nothing change either. So, I quit the game. I lost interest coz idk if that would even be fixed. I don't even know what to say! Was it my fault or the game got bugged out!?! I was level 30 monk just before i lesser reincarnate. Anyone know anything about that?

I'm a level 3 Wizard, but I can't use any spells.. I'm always getting this message when I try to prepare spells in a tavern. "Failed Spell Action" your ability points is too low. I can't even prepare a Level I spell. Is this a bug or is my character lacking something? Thanks!

movement speed is so broken in this game. my wizard has a 30% speed item, I cast haste, I have a light load weight. I look on my character sheet and it shows my movement speed is anywhere from 129% to 124%.
