Is this build still viable in 2024? I used to love playing bard in DnD tabletop and want to have the big buffs for the party/raid.

Hey, I realize I'm late to the party in watching this series but I just wanted to say I really appreciated the part of the video where you stuck to your guns in regards to not doing a playthrough where you're unlocking free to play content for three years. I buy xp pots and stuff a decent amount because in my mind it just makes more sense to spend a bit of money and accomplish something significantly faster when all things considered it's really not that expensive in the grand scheme of things. The mentality of actually valuing your time and making sure you're enjoying the time you spend playing makes so much sense to me. I've encountered a lot of hate for this type of thing, where I've been encouraged to farm stuff and like grind out korthos island for 100 ddo points and a bunch of other stuff and that feels like a genuine waste of time and I just don't understand the hatred people have towards dropping a bit of money to not suffer doing stuff. It was really refreshing hearing you talk about it and I'm glad you didn't just cave for a few people that want to see you waste your time.

I've tried this and i found fotw quick cutter actually deals a ton of damage. Hits twice and all monsters around you, 6 second cooldown. Good for mobs.

As a boomer newbie with little caster experience and relatively limited real-life dexterity, I would be interested in hearing / seeing more about how you physically play casters. I would love a more in-depth / focused explanation of some things you already briefly touched upon like mouse look, ground targeting, rounding up mobs, ... And ideally also an additional split-screen or picture-in-picture video of keyboard + mouse + hands, if you can manage to record that?

Thanks for this interesting video. From about 1:30, you were trying to get some (xp and ) wearings in saltmarsh. And it gave me some idea, because, to be honnest, khortos and saltmarsh are ... poor in loot and rewards. But, why would you not try to gain XP (and gears) making the borderlands arc (even in low level stage, especially with a character having open locks skill, as soon as they are hidden / locked chests in almost all quests? At the end of the day, you may get many named items with augment slots, and you would event may to craft your own silver / etheral weapon if you want. More interesting: just travelling from the city to the quest place may grant you up to two different rare encounters (at the farm and at the apiary) whose may give you a way to get a mount if you have not. Of course, those gears will not be "the final ones" you'll keep for the whole leveling. But, they can make the tricks before you get better ;-)

Am I crazy or does Ursa's heart not work without a shield? This is my 2nd bear druid, and despite having medium armor equipped and in bear form my HP are not increasing.

Its nice you come up with these slightly unusual unique styles of play , its fun for a different flavor of playing the class , i find the Warlock a lil to repetitive with just being a blaster all the time , i do that a lot with other caster types which mostly have a much higher verity of things to do anyway , to each his own in play style favs tho , but unusual builds is really cool for this long time player , who has finally got to hanging around a bit at end game doing high reaper and raids .. kinda a old timer need a change lol

Major in chaos mage, minor in air savant, with air stance will be fun.. with 6 points in Feydark or Harper should yield a 107 or 108 chr on reaper.. yummy. Fully geared out ofc.. looking heavily at this build

Pure sorcerer casters are too difficult a class to be a basic class. They don't heal, they don't have pets, they take longer to learn spells, they can't change spells, they don't have many special protections that make them more resistant, they can't naturally revive other players, and what's worse, if you want to play another class as a caster you are practically forced to play sorcerer to get the +1 to evocation and the 20 extra sp. In fact, as far as I know, they have bug talents. And now on top of that, wild magics, which explodes in your face one out of five times. The company hates sorcerers... You need to have like ten past lives to make them do something, it's absurd. The best way to play a sorcerer is not to play a sorcerer, make it half paladin, wizard, anything else up to level 20 and reincarnate after having lived through the nightmare that is playing it. Ironically, a necromancer that should be more difficult is ridiculously easier, especially because no one wants to play it, so in a party no one has any use for necromancer items, so it's easier to equip it with all the advantages.

I use to play the game, 2009-2023, it just went to end game content with solo to 20 in most cases. Add to that the micro transactions on everything. It's no longer a newbie friendly game.

The confusion spells work great against reapers as a form of reaper CC. Alchs other CC spells do not work against reapers. The single target confusion spell (Hypnotic something?) enables you to confuse a reaper but more importantly, all other mobs aggro on it and the reapers fight the mobs. This creates a convenient tight group of mobs that you can then bomb.

Is it possible to change a Cleric's Domain with a Heart of Wood/Lesser Reincarnation?

It's not raining, that all Eldritch energies due to your high level Wild Magic caster. ... Seriously looks pretty neat, over a decade in DDO and it never stops surprising me :)

Thunderstorms are the best! Coolest one I saw was when I was in Japan and saw purple lightning light up the hills. Also Uber excited about everything with this expac! I REALLY want an expansion about Tiamat to n DDO but the Eberron version.

I was working on a resort on a large lake near a reservation. It was a lot of fun, but also a lot of work. And after my shift (which was pretty much all day) I would do a workout in the bunk house before bed. I would sleep like a rock. On one such night a tornado tore through the back yard and dropped a 3-ton branch inches from the bunkhouse. I slept through the entire thing.
