The Bottle of Mist is worth it. I love the Ravenloft expansion. It was my favorite Campaign to run back in the day and I love revisiting it in DDO when I am in the mood!

13:00 I did get a refund after making a ticket in the past, think it was Ravenloft or Sharn, but it's been quite a while so I'm not saying it would work for sure. Well it could worth a try if someone was going to get an ultimate bundle anyways. Its cool to see the refunds are now built into the store.

Gem of Many Facets comes from Chronoscope. Always has, always will. Saltmarsh does NOT give you that trinket. It has some cool niche items and is a necessary quest area for "Perfected" crafting via Nebula Fragments, but it is not the area to get any top tier, or near top tier, weapon or gear item at all.

Saltmarsh is the epitome of "Mid". Good enough to not be terrible, but bad enough to be ignored, especially at that price.

The gem of many facets is fine, but the real winner is the legendary gem of many facets, which you upgrade with the saltmarsh materials. As I said, it gives you access to the legendary crafting system. Technically you can do this without it, using regular epic crafting materials, at a really really really rough conversion rate.

Saltmarsh is an atmospheric expansion and a lot of fun to play. I’m glad I invested in it!

@r8chlletters For sure! The quests and story are fun and a nice full circle throwback to Korthos and the Sahaugins. I certainly play them all once per life! The gear is underwhelming, and is not a necessity by any stretch of the imagination, however, and that's all I was getting at. Strimtom made it sound like you HAVE to have Saltmarsh (for the specific benefit of having a good Legendary Gem of Many Facets), which is erroneous on many levels. The base item comes from Chronoscope exclusively, and the mats to upgrade it can be bartered for in game from other content. If the ONLY thing driving you to recommend getting or buying the expansion is to legendary craft the Gem of Many Facets, then patience is a virtue, because STAR FRAGMENTS will drop from LEGENDARY CHRONOSCOPE (where you need to get the Gem to begin with!) with the next update, making my original point stand... this pack is superfluos, and not worth the price of admission... It should be $6.99 regular price, and 50% off that when on sale. 🤷♂️
